Well as it happens to be, I've apparently neglected my own thread

So updates then... Well lets go back to last November, to be precise the 8th (Some now know what I'm going to tell from here). Twas a lovely day, and I had organised a Sax-p SE meet at Lakeside for the evening, so it seemed right to give the car a well earned clean inside and out.

I was very well pleased with the results and waited for the evening to come and I left for the meet.

BANG! I felt a bang from the back and the car spun! Luckily I was ok and so was the car to a certain extent.

Those that were there saw the extent of things that happened, but I just got on with things.

So the extent of the damage is a new tailgate, new bumper, new drivers door and a number plate. (Insurance wanted to write it off under financial terms - so I've done the work myself and taken the cost)

The last part (the drivers door) turned up this morning, after its taken me quite a while to find one thats not off a VT* model.

So that aside, what else has been happening with the car?

Well the upper strut brace is now on, going to take it off and re-spray it yellow again as it needs it, the VTS rear ARB is here (cheers Willsy) and i've still yet to fit the VTS front brakes (Cheers Karl). I'm awaiting arrival of a BLACK carpet for the inside, and i've still got to put another coat of laquer onto my centre console, heater covers and speaker covers before they go in.

I've also go a set of the Ultra rear lenses waiting to go on (putting them on once its back from spraying), then I'm going to get a set of black angel eyes for the front.

Lowering will be taking place, but i'm undecided as to what springs and shocks i'll use for the front (perhaps the SPAX Psx kit) and as to how far i'm going to go down by...

Before I put on the VTS callipers, i'll be spraying them yellow and getting some uprated disks and possibly pads to go with them.

As to what happens from there, is yet to be told :p

Good news at last! - The car has finally been booked in for spraying and bodywork! Its good to know the guys at the bodyshop as i'm having the tailgate, bumper and new door, sprayed and blended in plus body filling (where they cannot pull the dent out) and touchups to the paint all for £500 :fcuk:

Its booked in for a week on Tuesday - should be in for about 4 days. Finally!!!!

Noddy 28th December 2008 15:49

Adam_Q 30th December 2008 00:43

Noddy, did you get her repaired alright?

Noddy 30th December 2008 00:47

yeah i did indeed - like i said in my last post, i've completely forgotten to update this thread.

Apart from a few paint chips here and there, I've got the car back to original state, no body dents at all now :)

I've got to sort out some photos and an updated to-do / done list :)

Noddy 30th December 2008 01:11

Adam_Q 30th December 2008 04:02

nice spec mate! Fancy a boot install to go with that lot ;)

Noddy 30th December 2008 10:07

meh, its basic spec atm, a boot install is on the cards and i had seen yours. I like the sub box - a lot, but the floor and install I wouldnt need as Ive got the ICE and would have a plain floor on top....
