I am sure the thought as crossed there mind, I have even had the conversation, no good will come from that.

Connor_scotland 28th July 2010 14:27

RIP Gav
I mind speaking to you days before it happend

jack001 28th July 2010 14:31

R.I.P mate shocked to hear it

Meto 28th July 2010 14:51

I just hope none of Gav's mates takes the law into there own hands. I didn't even know gav but it appears he and others who surrounded him, were much better than that.

You say the guy give CPR, did he stop as the ambulance got there, or before they arrived?

CampDavid 28th July 2010 15:18

Death by Dangerous Drive carries 12months to 14 years. Due to the nature of the accident and the excess speed I'd suggest he's likely to serve at least 4 years

Sentencing guide here.

http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/s...erous_driving/

He'll have done himself no favours what so ever by pleading not guilty and not showing remorse.

R.I.P Gav!

x

Pixie 28th July 2010 15:41

I Can't believe he has pleaded not guilty , at the end of the day 'HE' Killed Gav so he 'IS' Guilty!

Rip :( xxx Thoughts are truly with you :(

Seems like he made an impact on quite a few ppl on here

McGuire86 28th July 2010 15:45

The justice system is a joke. For example, a 18/19 year old girl around here knocked off a 16 year old girl from her scooter and she died, this was about 5 months ago.
I saw the girl not long ago out on the piss like nothing happend, and that was death by dangerous driving

leeroybrown 2nd August 2010 08:11

Well he was in Crown Court on Friday and still said not guilty and this time showed remorse by crying!

He know he has done wrong and is still sticking by that he was driving at 50 mph!

Honestly how he sleeps at night I will never no!

He will be back in court for Trail towards the end of Sept and is on bail till then.

over 15 people from Gav's friends and family turned up on Friday, to Nathan's 1 friend and mother.

He knows whats coming, he broke down in tears in court.

yeah, theres a guy who lives round the corner from me..about 7 years ago he was speeding in his cavalier, crashed into somebody, they were pronounced dead at the scene, he had broke his leg and a few ribs, the police couldnt prove he was speeding, he blamed the other person involved as it was late there was no witness's he got a a massive compensation claim for, flashbacks ,whiplash, his injuries, time off work(bus driver)...its an absolute joke,, with the money hes got hes paid for his house, had numerous cars a few to list , escort cosworth , e46 m3,an kitted rx7,and a mercedes 4x4 thing cant remember what there called plus few bikes and a quad...

the stupid thing is last year he got sent down for 6months for copying and selling dvd's and got alot of stuff seized from his house plus the mercedes, 3 motorbikes and his raptor...

oh and he and his wife, still drive like absolute cocks.

Although I feel sympathy for the situation Nathan finds himself in, surely Lee we have all driven silly now and again, Peel springs to mind, It's just unfortunate when the consequences happen.

If I was in his situation I would plead guilty since It's the best way to show remorse.

It seems Nathan doesn't understand the amount of pain he has brought to so many people and he is accountable for it all.

True, but my car is always insured, put together well and mot'd...so road legal.

However Nathan's 106 had none of them, he should have used his brain before he even pulled aware with Gav in the passenger seat!

leeroybrown 24th September 2010 09:22

Well today Nathan is reappearing in court for his official plea.

Guilty or not guilty.

Evidence is stacked against him and even his solicitor advised him to plead guilty, but in the magistrates court he said not guilty, hence why we are now heading into crown court.

Depending on the out come of today, the next time he appears in court can he his sentencing

His barrister Ieaun Rees indicated it would be a not guilty plea.

Juggyluggs 24th September 2010 09:47

I never knew this gav bit RIP dude
and this nathan should have just pleaded guilty he's sort of dealt a double blow to all gav's friends and family by pleading not guilty, he must know in his head that it would be better to say guilty and he may get a lighter sentance but he has made it three times worse for himself now by pleading not guilty

Col_VTR 24th September 2010 09:50

Cant believe its taken so long to sort it out but i agree i couldnt live with not paying for what i had done :(

SAM-S44MDS- 24th September 2010 09:50

I never knew Gav but R.I.P. Seems to have made a big impression on alot of people on here.

Nathan should have put in a guilty plea, an innocent lad has lost his life, he could atleast face up to his actions and take the punishment he is given, although no sentence handed out will ever bring Gav back

leeroybrown 24th September 2010 09:54

Standing crying in the dock, saying not guilty at the magistrates court..emmm

He knows whats going to happen, why prolong it.

Its going to tear his own family up also what ever the verdict.

Dave89 24th September 2010 09:56

I cannie believe how quick everything has happened since we all heard!
Time goes by far to quick, makes you think!
R.I.P.

Lewis1600 24th September 2010 10:09

Was thinking about Japman/gav the other day... didnt know him but such a shame... cant believe how quick its gone...

I feel for his family and friends....

I Hope that nathan gets whats he deserves!

R.I.P Dude
