Cheers man, they're both ARS fibreglass seats, bit annoyed though cos they both have different logos on them because one's a 2009 seat and one's 2010 lol :y:

Couple of updates;
Brand new JP4 cam covers, old ones had a slight leak and looked like they had been put on with a whole tube of sealant :panic: Spent about an hour cleaning all the old sealant off before fitting these. If my leak doesn't go away then it's the cam ladders because they look caked in sealant too!

VTS gearbox

Sale for the s1 box didn't go through, so i've been browsing ebay for a decent S box for a while, this one came up and it was only round the corner from me!
Old fella selling it (turned out to be a detective inspector in the police :fcuk: ) said he bought it for his son's saxo and it was sitting in a box in his garage. Also interesting to note that the code is CN03 which is the same as a guy on ebay was saying was from a 53 plate S, so hopefully i've got a decent box here :y:

Gave her a little clean too (first one since about october)

That's all for now, should have some nice updates in the next couple of months ;)

Saw you and Tufty pull out of the BP the other day. Both cars sounded immense! I need Supersprint in my life :( lol

How do you find the Billie GroupN's down the local lanes? Really harsh?

Billes are worth it when the roads are dry! Tbh i just tend to potter to work and back these days, haven't had much back-road fun in ages. Gotta be careful with potholes, it's a very firm ride lol.

Lol not too bad. I'm used to it now anyway

Anyway, thought i'd put a few pics up of the cage i bought off AlexB about a month ago;

Can't find anyone "reputable" to fit it though so doubt i'll be getting it fitted too soon, got money to spend elsewhere first :(

paxo89 9th March 2010 15:59

Been speaking to a company called SVG motorsport about fitting the cage, has anyone dealt with them before? Better yet can anyone recommend me a company that's fitted a cage like this to a saxo before?

raunchz 9th March 2010 16:10

I LOVE that cage !!!

Id Alex still had it in the summer I was tempted with it!

All you'd really need is a company that can weld properly I would have thought?

Never heard of them myself tbh

paxo89 9th March 2010 16:31

Haha thought i'd snap it up at the price it was at :)
I've seen a few guys on here with full weld in cages, but can't seem to find much info on them other than that their "mates" did it :ponder:
I tried contacting customcages but never got a reply. I might try and get in touch with the company who did Atspeed's 106 as it looks to be a good job :y:

MattJ89 27th March 2010 12:42

loving the car mate, done alot of work to it, spent alot of cash too, but well worth it by looking at it.

stendog 27th March 2010 15:04

best bet is to look in the freeads for fabricating shops they will be shit hot welders or look for a mobile welder who can come to your house and do it

stinkycheese 27th March 2010 15:07

Why havnt you asked me to do it? Are you not impressed with my mine? :D

paxo89 7th June 2010 19:02

Riiight, been a while since i updated this, been accumulating a few bits 'n' bobs over the last couple of months, should be a fun car one day!

Quaife ATB from gmc, hopefully getting put in a refurbed vts box by mankee at some stage in the near-ish future :P

Omex 600 from atspeed, got it in the group buy

Saved the best til last, also from gmc...

*** Apologies for the pathetic quality of the pictures

Anyway, more parts on the list are

*Forged pistons + Rods
*omex loom
*GMC intercooler/rad
*brackets, belts, filters etc for the charger
*4-pot brakes (wilwood)
*some sort of lightweight wheels with decent rubber
* a lot of money for fitting + mapping

Think thats about it, probably forgot a few things, need to do more research into cams and such first :p

Tufty 7th June 2010 21:05

Very nice Dan! This will apeal to alot of people on here.

paxo89 9th June 2010 15:40

cheers man
