Kenco 28th April 2009 19:54

Important
possibly new driveshafts needed,
anyone got any going cheap?

Kenco 29th April 2009 12:55

i gave the car a good clean before fitting the vt kit
and here were the results
(only got one pic  )

ooh shiney :y:

Lippy 17th May 2009 22:01

that looks really shiney! looks like you did a really good job on the VT kit bud! How did it go in the end after i spoke to you earlier?

Only 1 thing that I would change about your car and its really small, and that would be the ram air pipe in the front grill, dont know why but just not a fan.

Sneakydevil89 17th May 2009 22:43

i can tell you that it went all gravy and he is loving listening to his extreme classical beats at max volume now :)

Ok, maybe not extreme classical, maybe bit of bodom ey?? lol ;)

haha thanks man
the blue bit of the air intake is now sprayed black, which is alot more subtle and therefore looks better, alot has changed on my car i just cba to update this! i will later on though...

J222JRA 18th May 2009 11:55

u have made a nice job of that mate, can imagine its was a pain in the arse to fit lol

rudeboiross 18th May 2009 23:53

definetly gave me inspiration when i saw it to VT kit mine!

Sneakydevil89 19th May 2009 09:42

need some pics up of your lip on your alloys and i didnt know you had BMC?

and just noticed, what did simo say you've won?

Kenco 19th May 2009 11:04

haha simo said i won an e-marsbar ;)
pics up in a sec of new bits and bobs done to the car

Kenco 19th May 2009 11:29

okay so i decided to change the vtr wheels as they were looking a tad sad and boring,
so the sanding commenced!

then obviously after a long time sanding, they were primered, but you all know what that looks like :panic:
then came the coats of black, missing the lip as they would be done after...

following that, once the black was dry the lip was sprayed which proved to be an absolute ball ache!!

once this was all done, the lacquer was applied and they were left to dry.
once dried i couldnt wait to fit them and here they are!

(once i had finished the wheels i noticed CazLad also had a posiblue sax with black vtrs with a yellow pinstripe :wall: :wall: :wall: ahh well sorry bud!)

once again feel free to leave comments, good or bad :y:

Kenco 19th May 2009 11:34

Recently bought some Focal Access front components
pics will be up soon :)

Sneakydevil89 19th May 2009 11:57

very nice, got a great finish on them too!
just noticed you need some posi mirror caps now and it will look schweet..er

Kenco 19th May 2009 12:05

yeah, im tempted by some 106 mirrors like yours though,
ahh who knows im getting my audio sorted then i shall carry on with all the other bits and bobs!

Lippy 19th May 2009 21:51

alloys look like a good job has been done on them! slightly confused by the yellow lip though? the car is blue and yellow is a hell of a contrast

Kenco 19th May 2009 23:18

i like the blue black and yellow combo personally!
i think blue and yellow go quite well, therefore the strutbrace, lip and citroen sport badges are yellow :y:

Lippy 20th May 2009 00:19

cool! didnt realise you had other stuff in yello! so whats next on the stereo side of things? have you got a sub or sub amp yet?

Kenco 20th May 2009 11:02

haha yea.
i currently have a standard pioneer sub that supplies a little bass
the amp is the biggest pile of balls though..
so next up are JL 12w0-4's and when i find the right one a nice, well built 4 channel amp, most probably JL again.

it's wierd as until i took a trip to my local audio specialist i had no intentions on changing any of my audio lol

Kenco 20th May 2009 11:06

forgot!
also an alpine headunit will be acquired as i need the 4 rca preouts
at the moment my headunit has an rca splitter, but that means i cant use a high pass filter as the front comps and the sub are pretty much joined together by it
