Cheers for the advice, ive herd good things about Manic Motors, but a friend offered to drop the torsion bar and i can get 35mm lowering sprigs for £30. So all things considered ive got that covered IF i get to do it.

The window tints sounded cheap, i was quoted £45 to fit the rear window if i supplied the tints. So i reckon ill get them myself, fit the rear side windows and pay for the rear to be done.

If i get the money after new year its: Spoiler, tints, possibly lowering depending on insurance.

Im baiting out about insurance, got told that lowering it means it invalidates your insurance? Really wana do it, but how much would it bump up my premium per year if i did slam it and tell them?
Also mate, how much you get a quote for your torsion bar for?

Lewis 12th December 2009 12:39

I called up my insurance (Quinn Direct) and they said they would need an engineers report, these usually cost around £20 at a local garage, and providing that the lowering doesnt change the handling of the car there shouldnt be any problems. Otherwise your looking at around anywhere from £20 - £200 increase.

Chin 12th December 2009 16:18

Fuck are they on about ? Obviously it will change the handling... for better !

Lewis 12th December 2009 18:24

Exactly, so why do they want more money! Lol

JamesR 17th December 2009 16:36

Cars looking pretty sweet mate, as with mine needs lowering :)

Also have you thought about a VT kit? Looks good though :y:

Lewis 17th December 2009 22:00

Yea i considered a VT kit, especially as silver is common. Only thing is my parents are very reluctant about 'big' mods to the car seens how they bought it. Besides im a student, so i never have money :P

I think ill be keeping this car for a while so who knows, mabey one day

Lewis 24th December 2009 14:54

Another update, nothing fancy. Installed my front comps and pioneer head unit, a new battery, and my DIY induction hose which im proud of ;)

Small quiery for you experts out there, i have a blue hose as seen in the engine image below, i believe its an oil breather and i need a hose of somekind to go to the air filter. Thing is the inline filter i bought for it has very small tubes each side. So i would need 2 tubes which go from about 15mm wide at one end to about 3/4mm at the other, any ideas?

Cheers
