Very smart Andy was always a fan of this
Lovely rims |
Cheers mate.
Its annoying me at the minute, as something is broken on the front suspension. needs to go to a garage to have it checked, but I'm busy at work this week. |
youve changed my mind about focuses. i learned in one so not been a fan since. but your is tastful and clean nice work. did you see the article in fast car/max power cant remember which one a guy with a brown focus think he was from germany was really nice. just like urs but more smoothing......and brown lol
|
Cheers mate. They are pretty decent cars tbh.
Didnt see the brown one. Not read any of the mags in years lol. Got a pic of it? |
![]() Been in for a new lower arm this week, so it now drives perfectly again, instead of pulling all over the road :y: Might even polish it this weekend if it stays dry :y: |

Not updated this in a while lol.
But thats mainly because theres been nothing really to update haha. Its been running perfectly recently, getting abused at work and is in need of a really good clean. However, I'm still doing a lot of site work at the minute so the interior keeps getting covered in mud and dirt, so cleaning will have to wait for a while :( Went in for MOT yesterday. Happy to say it passed, only thing was an advisory that the front tyres will need changing soon, which I knew anyway as the inside edges are wearing due to the camber from having the car lowered. As the saxo isn't going to be ready for FCS, i'll more than likely be bringing this down, so will start to tidy it up soon in preperation. If I'm bringing a non-frenchie, it better look decent lol Have a few ideas to change/hopefully add to the look before the show, so hopefully i'll get some of them done at least :y: |
Gonna have to change tyres a bit sooner than I'd hoped. Went out to the car this afternoon, and noticed a large crew sticking out of the front tyre, which was slightly flat. A further look, and I found at least one more screw in the same tyre, and one in the other front. One of them has gone straight through the side wall, so that tyre is fubared.
I have found some new ones at a very agreeable price (£133 for a set of 4 budget, but branded tyres in 205/40/R17 size, fitted :y:) but they will involve driving over to near Manchester. So off to talk to my local tyre place to see what they can offer. The car is currently rocking a pair of steelies though. To say it looks slightly gash is an understatement lol. On a better note, spoken to a mate about a few bits and pieces to tidy it up before FCS, so looks like a few changes wil be being made before then :y: |
even your daily driver is tidy... nice install and the car looks nice and low!
|
Cheers mate.
Need a decent car whilst the saxo's off the road lol, although I'll probably get something more sensible when thats back. Need to keep the focus practical for work, but I spend a lot of time in the car so like to have a decent install. Lowered about 50mm at the minute (can do 70mm+ on the coilovers) but still means I can get around building/demolition sites as I need :D |
looks good, like the wheels!!
|
My mate has those wheels on his black 1.8 Focus with curbing on the exact same wheel as you lol
|
Bump this thread as I'm thinking of selling up ;)
I usually change my daily/work car every 6 months, as they tend to get bashed about a fair amount and the mileage racks up pretty quickly when travelling all over the country. I've had this 18 months now as its so fun to drive, but the saxo is nearing completion now, so that will be my 'fun' car, and I think that the Focus needs to go before the miles get too high (101k now) and before its worthless. Also wanting a van to run round in to save having to clean the interior everytime i've had the work stuff in the back |
|
Lovely car but if it means the Saxo will be on the road quicker then its a fair sacrifice lol.
|
Nothing to do with the Spaxo unfortunately mate.
Just want a van really for work. Taking to much effort to keep the Focus looking nice at the minute, and I'm loosing interest :( Figure it may as well go to someone who will appreciate it a bit more. I've had it over 18 months now - thats good for me with one of my daily runners :D |
Still for sale.
DVD headunit, the amps and the JL Audio sub are all out. Toying with the idea of leaving the comps in the front as I cba putting the standard wiring back in. Stuck a small amp in to run them for now. It sound suprisingly good lol. Just got to give it a good clean and a polish tomorrow, and then its going on ebay. |
Now on ebay Click to View Auction

Now has 6 months road tax.
Price is negotiable - make me an offer! |
Well, Focus ownership has come to an end. The car was collected by its new owner this morning.
Its been fun. I now need to go and find another car.... |
As in the previous post, the Focus was sold at the beginning of December.
The last pics I got of it: Masked up whilst I sorted out a few chips and slight bit of rust on the tailgate and arch: ![]() Pics I took when I cleaned it just before it was collected: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I spent a few weeks without a car, either borrowing my brothers Fiesta or renting vans for a couple of days here and there. Then, just before Christmas I found a 307 estate. Went and had a look and it seemed fair for the money, so a deal was done and I brought it home the night before xmas eve. Its a 2004 307 SW Hdi SE. 2.0 turbo diesel, Bought with 92k on the clock, but does have service history with it. Quite a few electric toys on it, pretty nippy, much better on fuel so far that the Focus ever was and generally a pretty comfy drive. Also has a huge boot being an estate, which is ideal for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Individual tilt/slide rear seats ![]() Also has glass panoramic roof ![]() ![]() Standard power is 110 bhp, although this one has a reciept for a remap taking power up to around 130bhp. Not sure if this is fitted or not as I've not driven a standard one to compare. Few niggles to sort on it in due course. It needs new disks and pads fairly soon and a good service, needs cleaning inside and out (when the weather's better though), CD changer doesn't work (Probably buy a new headunit with MP3 connectivity) and could do with new exhaust. The spare wheel and jack are missing so need to get hold of these, and the paint on one of the alloys is bubbling, so will refurb the wheels at some point. First jobs have been to change the multiple bulbs which were broken. Brake lights now work (bonus :y:), new sidelights and number plate lights fitted (led bulbs), headlight bulbs on their way, but working currently. ![]() ![]() ![]() /novel :D |
