Thanks again to you lawrence your help was great!! As you said the team worked well no point in trying to catch car 1 and 2 in class as your talking 30k engine builds with 230bhp lol.

We were pedalling 3/4/5 to get away from the rest of the class then took it steady to bring it back and finish.

1st 205 home!!

Jackman 8th February 2009 12:01

Looking good lads!

May have to pop up when you hit Wales!

You doing Performance car action day again?

Just watched to incar of mine from yesterday....

My misses commented that it was the slowest that she had ever heard me reading the notes!

Again, congrats boys from myself and Steve, plus it now looks like after our falling out with the BTRDA guy at scrutineering on Friday, we will now NOT be doing the MSA English, and so that means that hopefully both Down Ampney events are go!!!!!!!

MaRiO89 8th February 2009 14:54

Cheers Mark..

Your not even doing the planned championship now then?

The guy was a complete ass...

He was insistent that we remove the sponsored door squares and fit the BTRDA / Silverstone tyres ones, plus run a sponsor stack in front of it, plus remove the sunstrip and fit a BTRDA / Silverstone tyres one. In 2008 we ran with a small BTRDA registered crew logo on the car.

We point blankly refused, as we have sponsor commitments and people have paid to put there names on the car, plus we dont even run Silverstones, so why do we have to avertise for them! He also wanted us to remove the Khumo Tyres decals on the front bumper! That was what pushed both of us over the edge, and basically told him what we thought of the best rally championship in the UK being fooked up by having a stupid tyre deal with the shittest tyres in the UK.... Rant Over..... lol

So we are now going to pick and choose certain events through 2009, in hope that the poxy control tyres are removed for 2010!

Not seen Steve that angry for quite a while... There were few 'quite rights' heard from in the room..... lmao...........

Just to top it all off, when we were in the last emergency service before the drive back to finish, there were several crews registered for the championship, removing Dunlop and Michelin snow tyres and fitting the control tyres to go over the finishing line with....

Sounds like a cock, was it john cooper by any chance?? The scruitineer we had was ok only thing he picked up on was he wanted to see some yellow on the negative battery lead or the earth lead or something so dad put two yellow cable ties on it and was ok lol

I have all the assholes like that to come no doubt!!

Down Ampney it is then :)

Foggy 8th February 2009 16:11

Nah wasn't John as he seams OK...

It was Howard from the BTRDA

The Kumho's were great on the slush and snow

-Nick 8th February 2009 23:02

Was a cracking day boys, I apologise once again for the video glare, just had no time to test the equipment and make any necessary changes before the event. All will be delbt with by the next event without fail.

But one thing i can say for those who wasn't there, if the video did work you would just see some serious driving and a lot of shocked faces as a new kid on the block went from 37th to 13th.

Your going to go far mate, I've attended more or less every track day youve entered and witnessed you eat dc2s, remaped leon cupra rs and scoobies in an mg zr... I've been in the car around brands hatch as you pushed (not physically) a 100k amg merc into a wall in your scoob. Hell we even held onto a gt3 on the nurburgring in the ek9!! An yesterday what a performance.

Great going the pair of you and I cant wait for the next event :) :y:

MaRiO89 8th February 2009 23:26

Cheers for the words of wisdom Fox..:P

If you could send one of your production team round to have a look at the camera that would be great..

-Nick 8th February 2009 23:46

After the shoddy start I will 'personally' be coming round to sort out the camera to ensure such glare never occurs again! :y:

MaRiO89 8th February 2009 23:48

Ok..much appreciated..

Good good!

Foggy 9th February 2009 18:20

Guys, did one of you tell me that you were planning to do Cearwent?

If so, then the camera will have to be removed, as because it is still an active millitary base. :fcuk:

MaRiO89 9th February 2009 18:25

We were going to do Caerwent but its like a week before Down Ampney and that will stretch the money abit..lol

We were aware about the camera thing also..Cheers anyway..:P

Foggy 9th February 2009 18:30

The regs are not out yet for Get it Sideways on the 18th April, so will wait and see what the fees are....

I reckon we can do the 2 Down Ampney events for the price of one BTRDA entry fee..... :fcuk:

Aren't they both rounds of the CMSG Championship? (Cearwent and GIS@DA)

Foggy 9th February 2009 18:38

Just checked and they are..... lol

Cearwent 29th March - GIS@DA 18th April :)
