I'll see how things go when the wellers are on but 90mm would be nice

m11ler 9th March 2012 08:21

haha cheers, thought my car was looking abit boring! :D

Btw have you removed your front arch liners? As I havent even wound my coillies down that much and already rub on them on full lock! Had to remove my 15mm spacers off the front too as they were making it worse! :)

IanRyan 9th March 2012 15:17

You cars coming along well mate, loving the boot :) and those rear lights are just sex

Cheers :) Just need to re-spray them sometime in the summer, and use abit of paint remover to get rid of any red on the clear top section :)

ive still got my arch liners lol! without them it makes your door shuts muddy all the time and will probably rust under the ecu and fusebox as theyre usual spots for rust. Mine rubs on full lock but its alright. I just avoid full lock lol

Good point, I'll probably just avoid full lock then! I'll get some pictures up tomorrow once i've adjusted the coilovers abit more, as I have no idea how low it is in mm's you can probably give a good estimation based on yours :)

JoshFurioBrookes 11th March 2012 01:01

Borrowed a friends proper camera this evening and went to the brighest lit multi-storey I know to get some proper shots.

Havent wound down the coillies anymore yet. Rear is at roughly 60 or 65mm and the front is at about 70-75mm.

Sunday afternoon I'll have a chance to wind them down as much as I can go without driveshaft/wishbone issues. So I'll get some pictures up once thats done.

Anyway, heres the pictures! :)

And finally the petrol pump shot ;)

m11ler 11th March 2012 01:29

Cheers, yeh gotta get the nose down even more tomorrow! :D

saxo_singh 11th March 2012 02:16

Looks good as it is :y:
I wouldn't want to lower the front more untill the rear is done too. Other wise it will ruin the look, looks perfect in the pics, slightly nose down, any more and back would look like it sitting high.

Cheers, I'm probably just going to go another 10-15mm at the front, then if I want to go lower than that I'll get the rear done. :)

Ashleyp 11th March 2012 10:54

looks nice lad. as i said in another thread, reminds me of Ferg's old S.

I think standard / smoked fogs would suit it better though, those yellow ones stick out like a sore thumb

Cheers, Yeh they are smoked underneath the yellow paint. I'll leave them as they are for a while but may decide to get the paint off them. :)

JoshFurioBrookes 11th March 2012 20:01

Got my coillies wound down abit more today, I think my car is now roughly 80mm at the front, hard to estimate though, couple of shitty photos as I cant be bothered to take it back out the garage. :)

m11ler 11th March 2012 20:54

Ohhh that does look very low on the front now! You checked it over for pas pipe issues and anything else that could rub etc?

Still got a gap there, changing to mk1 pipes on friday as the back pipe split, so at the moment I have no power steering. :) I think any lower than this and it looks like i'd encounter wishbone issues.

Ahh gutted lol, no power steering is better anyway! And it doesn't need to go any lower than that tbh mate.. just need to bring the back down a bit now and it'll look wicked.

I hate it, I cant wait to have it back! :D
When I got the coillies on the rear got lowered another 10mm. Im happy with it for now, may take it another 10mm sometime when money is free, been spending too much recently! lol

Ahh really i didn't know the back went down aswell! Yeah tbh mate it could do with another 10mm or so, it'll still keep the nose down stance aswell with that.

And yeah i know how you feel! Shame none of my money is going towards actual mods though haha

Im due a cambelt change in a month, so gotta pay for that, and I want to spend some money tidying up the engine bay, ecu cover, sort out rocker cover and manifold cover etc.
It's hard to capture the stance on camera properly, the arch gap for the front is only slightly more than the rear so I'm happy for now :)

LSOfreak 11th March 2012 21:31

check your brake lines arent rubbing on the antiroll on the front while its not jacked up.
Dont do the same mistake as me and loose brakes on the m25 :fcuk: lol

bobertmate 12th March 2012 12:39

i want it.

JoshFurioBrookes 12th March 2012 12:43

Cheers peoples :)
I'll get a couple more photos later in the week of how it sits now. :)

JoshFurioBrookes 12th March 2012 16:31

Got a few photos today of how the front is now. I'm very happy with it now! I get alot of rubbing on full lock, may remove the arch liners, not sure yet.
Ride quality isnt too bad to be fair, just have to be super aware for the big bumps/pot holes, hit a big one today and pretty sure one side of my car hit the floor for a split second!

Ride height comparison to my subcard ;)

And the clearance underneath isnt great, the speedbumps getting into college are abit of a problem.

m11ler 12th March 2012 16:34

Now i see better pictures, i don't really think the rear needs to go down atall. Could look different from different angles lol.
