This thread has being a pleasure to read from start to now. It's really nice to see the car is being built for the use its intended for. As well as sandy giving us a insight to how he builds the engine' with a eye for detail that is next to none.

Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing future progress.:y:

Thanks mate, it's all starting to come together now, the carbon bonnet, chassis repairs and new engine will really finish the car off nicely..... For now :D

Haha, im trying to do this years build as best as I possibly can this time around :) Once I got the carbon roof I always wanted a carbon boot + bonnet to have carbon all the way down the middle of the car :geek::geek::geek::geek: lol.

The car should be down to around 800kgs this summer with any luck

Yeah it's just alot easier doing it this way, saves potentially damaging the bearing

jpsaxo 28th February 2012 18:40

More pictures from mark... the chassis was in a bit of a mess from the previous owner not using the jacking points to jack the car up!

Once the underside of the chassis and engine bay / wheel arches have been done it has basically been a bare shell rebuild over this year and last year, including a brand new engine/cage & carbon bonnet/roof/boot.

Quite an overhaul tbh Chris lol

Chr15 28th February 2012 20:02
