Yeah Matt Newton is doing it isn't he? Should be a proper beast, what engine is he having in it?

Would be great to catch up with some of the old ssc/shed/bert Motorsport crew

Definitely agree with that, good suspension / chassis & some sticky tyres will make it rapid :D

jpsaxo 14th March 2012 18:23

Quick pic of my car in Marks new unit :)

piggy123 14th March 2012 19:22

looks like a skip... there yellow too, cant wait to see the finished results and actually the whole car together!
im calling shotgun on first proper blast :D

mark1311 14th March 2012 20:39

we also managed to remove the fuel tank aswell. tomora all been well will have the full day to work on the car, get the beam down and see what the damage is like there, hopfully start doing some welding aagin tomora on it. didt fancy it today after removing tank and spilling some the fuel:fcuk:

jpsaxo 14th March 2012 21:49

Hopefully you didnt spill too much :D there shouldn't be too much, if anything to do underneath from the front arches backwards Mark:D

mark1311 14th March 2012 22:12

think there will be some work round where fuel tank whent but will see in morning i guess! will get pics up asap. just remembered though i have meeting in morning and sparkys in again tomora to sort some lights out for me :).

jpsaxo 14th March 2012 22:45

Awesome mate, your the unit all sorted by the sounds of it. Keep me updated :)

jpsaxo 17th March 2012 13:16

Its a good job i got Mark to look at the whole chassis... Its amazing what you can find .....another hole nicely hidden behind the fuel filler piping in the drivers side rear arch

Era 17th March 2012 21:42

needs a "lower than your grans nips" in the back window to get any sort of cred in my books ;) good to see you still putting 100% behind it!

Ashleyp 17th March 2012 22:11

bloody hell josh! a tonne of work going into that shell, cracking stuff dude!

jpsaxo 18th March 2012 13:22

Haha joe!! I'll search eBay for another one :D

Ash - no half measures here :D

mark1311 18th March 2012 19:33

been bit quite from my side things as been so busy with moving etc, anyways as just said quite nasty patch rust on rear arch but will be felt with this week along with the rest the underside, i have smahed my iphone so pics abit crap tbh...

front arch pass side pics, rust removed, templates for metal patches,

under rear area now beams off.

got an extra set hand this week so in theory all under side will be stripped of sealer and re sealed and painted this week, then move on to finishing the engine bay off:).

jpsaxo 18th March 2012 21:51

Great stuff Mark :D How's the underside of the boot looking? I'd text but I've just changed my number so it won't be switched over until tomorrow

hard_corejoeboy 18th March 2012 23:03

Jesus that car was in shitstate! will be sooo much better when done

unreal106 19th March 2012 06:31

/\ shut up

jpsaxo 19th March 2012 08:13

To be fair it was it in a pretty bad way - not that we knew at the time as the underseal covers everything up. I'd imagine if you took the underseal off all saxo's at least 50% of them would be in similar bad shape!
