Car is looking sweet now mate. get it lowered and then i think the interior is your next port of call seen as that is where you enjoy the car from.

maybe a nice vts interior or gti leather.

glad your happy with the wheels.

Furio2k 5th February 2008 18:01

yea 106 gti interior is definately on my shopping list :p

im gunna get my clutch sorted before i lower it now, and give it a service as well as i've just hit 37k.

then the saving can begin for more mods !! :panic:

Furio2k 12th October 2008 23:40

wow, I can't believe it's been 8 months since I posted on this :P now the cars back on road, the modding bug has hit me again!!

anyway down to busines... got a quick little update for everyone....

I decided I wanted a change to my grille, debated on a dimma, mesh the standard etc etc...

but eventually I decided on keeping the grille standard and to spray the slats on the grille gloss black to match my smoked theme instead of having just a colour coded grille...

After putting the grille back on the car, I really am glad I chose to do this! It really breaks up the colours a little more, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone else has done this ??

Also I don't know how much this would of cost at a garage ? but it's seriously eaasy to do and I would recommend doing it (easy mods FTW) - and overall it took me a few hours, including the drying times :D

I will get some pictures up tomorrow for all to speculate on :P Let me know what you all think :y: cheers

Furio2k 13th October 2008 11:53

piccys as promised :D

can see the non capped/sprayed offside mirror there *Cries* some little bastard kicked my old one off.... ¬.¬

anyway, here was what the grille looked like before

let me know what you all think, good change or bad ? :y:

Dan-Subtle 13th October 2008 11:57

davesaxovtr 13th October 2008 13:52

just need a new number plate , grill looks mint

Furio2k 13th October 2008 13:56

agreed, both back and front number plates have deteriorated.

they were both like that when i bought the car, i've just never bothered ordering new ones :P

they are on my shoppin list though!

thanks for the comment on grille :y: definately a simple but effective little mod :D

Little Update...

Car passed it's MOT today with flying colours as it did last year, 2 tyres needed replacing at the front as they were slightly perished, but nothing major which is always good news!! :y:

Anyway..

When i got back from the garage, I thought she deserved a good clean! So i washed and polished her, as well as cleaned the inside up as well.

Few clean exterior shots, and roof reflection :P:y:

Sky in the roof... :P

Well pleased with the result!! :y:
