Glad you decided to update the thread after our chat earlier......

Looks a lot cleaner, and less cluttered now....

Tell Mark that Steve is coming around to the Down Ampney Stages thing, so a team entry could be on the cards, and if Colin gets there as well it could be a great fun filled day. John would be available to come and take shed loads of pictures as well, so will have a chat closer to the day....

Will chat before the 7th, but if you need any help, just ask.....

I like to keep myself busy so thought i would do abit of an update so people can see we are actually gona rally it..Will keep it updated as much as possible..

Yeah its alot cleaner than before..Alot tidier in places asell, still could do with a proper good clean so may have a go tomorrow depending on the weather..

I spoke to him about it today and he seemed interested..But yeah would be good for all of us to compete in the same rally like..

As for photo's that would be cool..

Dont you worry, if i have any questions you will know about it..:y:

Stefan 26th January 2009 22:11

i love it mate (Y)

MaRiO89 26th January 2009 22:15

Cheers..:)

MaRiO89 27th January 2009 11:12

Went out and grabbed some piccies..

Only things left to do before the event on the 7th of Feb will be a really good clean and thats about it..

The business end now with an airfilter instead of trumpets..

WillWood bias valve..

Rear interior..

Front interior..

Intercom..

Exterior..

Another small change will be front mudflaps as they are now a necessity for events..

Cheers..

Steve 27th January 2009 11:38

awesome dude, just wish a could afford something liek this :(

MaRiO89 27th January 2009 11:40

Cheers mate..

It is quite pricey..My brother foots most of the bill though..lol

Mrk1 27th January 2009 12:24

Wonder where this had got to! Love it, it's a proper little rally slag.
Its exactly what anyone with a track styled saxo wants to achieve (well imo).
Interior & engine look tidy, bet its quite an expensive car to maintain though!

Good luck with the event & keep us updated! :y:

:D

Thanks..

Yeah your right, its got pretty much eveything a proper race car should have, you name it, its got it..From coilovers to an LSD to a cage..Its all there..The engine bay and interior are tidy, was very dusty inside when we got it from the rallies, but thats sorted..Uber cleanliness isn't a major concern though, aslong as its presentable and relatively tidy..:y:

It drinks fuel when you nail it..The power its producing from a 20 year old 1.6 8v engine is quite high..Its quite pricey to maintain..Main cost goes into service parts like oils and fluids etc which need to be regualry changed..It will get expensive if the diff goes or the engine lets go..The engine is very recent though, the head is full of brand new internals and the bottom end has only done a handful of events so it should be reliable for quite awhile..:)

I'll definatley keep the thread updated..Should have some nice onboard footage from the rally too..

Cheers, James

So that's where we are going wrong then..... lmao.....

I thought that they had to be spotless....... :zainy:

MaRiO89 27th January 2009 17:30

Haha..Yours is lovely..Its more concourse than rally..;)

The previous owner clearly spent more time keeping it running nicely etc than spending alot of time cleaning it..lol..

MJRallying 27th January 2009 17:57

Its been along time since i posted on here guys, been busy with work and fiddling about with the 205.

At alot of expense later i think were pretty much there now, competition licences all sorted etc, car is ready.

If anyone is local to Goodwood Race Circuit thats where we will be on the 7th Feb if anyone wants to pop along and watch etc....spectators are FREE!!

Ryan 29th January 2009 00:18

might be down goodwood that day 'visiting' the gf.

One thing re the carbs, surely running trumpets into a filter would not be better no? having a longer inlet tract.

MaRiO89 29th January 2009 13:12

Pop round if you get a chance..

With carbs i think its one or the other..Besides the trumpets wont fit under the filter i dont think and the plate that bolts to the carbs wont go on with the trumpets in position..
