Nice work mate cant wait to see it finished

A little progress done today, mainly tarting up the engine abit. Cleaned and sprayed alternator and inlet manifold and fitted. everything looking nice and clean ! i didnt start this project with cleaning everything and painting in mind but i think ive become a cleaning whore :p lol my rad is in a rite old state so i mite need a new one as its going to look pants with everything else gleaming and the rad filthy !

The lump ! (will be putting a new oil filter on it)



And i carnt remember how the alternator belt tensioner thing asembles and goes on ????? Anyone got any picks of the setup?



Oh and also gave the missis something to do :p

Im looking for the pin layout for my vtr multi plug ! ive looked at all the diagrams and they make sense but i just carnt find it! is it even in the haynes manual ??

As for the wheels ive just had a idea ! i have a mate thats has 2 sets of team dynamics in black 15" i think , same guy i got my gti lump from if your interested ill have a word next time i see him.

Yea It has taken some time and effort ! helps having a works van and stealing the mothers car (rav 4 ) even tho i hate it, get some rite funny looks in it :homme: lol

You know when you think your nearly there and then you take a step back and realise theres still boat loads to do haha ! Was feeling a little un motivated down at the garage last night! But got my seats out and carpet ( the sound proofing was wet and damp underneath i dont know why its been in a warm garage for 6 months ? ) oh well its all in the bin now decided im going to paint the floor black or had o few thoghts of white ??? What you think ? I know its quite common tho !
still got to do all my wireing for my loom but im gana wait till me and my mate both have a day off and should get it cracked no probs then after that engine in then loads of prep for painting! Ive got full vt kit to spray , wings doors and inside floor and a few other bits. Im hopeing to have it done in 2 - 3 months ! We will see ; )

A few bits done tonight- been striping the interior and the relentless task of removing all the tar crap the last guy put in as cheap sound proofing !!



Got the bulk of the tar off and it was a rite bastard !!!! the standard citoren stuff in the foot well comes off really easy compared to what was in the rear. still a small layer left on that i will need to sand but ran out do sanding discs so.



And my collection of the offending substance !! weighs quite abit as well.



And a resent pic of the 16v , anyone notice any thing new ??? :p
