Already thought about it, but insurance on a conversion is huge, its so expensive anyway!
I'm happy to wait a year or two and get a VTS/GTI then. :) It's quite nippy for a 1.4 anyway, obviously nothing in comparison to 16V's but still fun. :)

JoshFurioBrookes 24th February 2012 14:04

Update, put my VTS wheels on this morning, making the most of the improved weather!
Using 25mm spacers on the rear and 15mm on the front.
Just needs to go lower now!
Once lows have been achieved. Plans are just general tidy up, spraying mirrors, wiper arms and bumpstrips gloss black.
Anyway, heres some pictures!

Love this picture!

Yellow?! Going to be pretty bright! I'm going to be painting my calipers and drums yellow in a couple months. :)
I've got the custom springs with my coillies, so I'm going 75 or 80mm at the back, and 80 or 85mm at the front :D

You could have yellow wheels and yellow fogs. That would look pretty cool :)

Yes yellow lol! Gotta be as lairy as the mango hasnt it :homme:
Thats gonna be nice and low mate! I want mine to be a sensible low if that makes sense ha, i still want to be able to have a spirited drive without worrying about sump smashing or tearing some trim off!

And i wouldn't wanna copy your fogs! I was thinking a yellow roof, but i did a photoshop and it looked a bit gash tbh

JoshFurioBrookes 24th February 2012 14:49

Yes a yellow roof might be too much! I wouldnt considering it you copying my fogs, hundreds of people have yellow fogs :)
I reckon you could still have a spirited drive down about 60 or even 70mm. :)

Dmilsey 24th February 2012 14:51

looks really nice mate :) posi ftw

Llardy 24th February 2012 14:56

mines down 80 at back and 75 ish at front and I only worry about the occasional speed bump. it's a really good height IMO

JoshFurioBrookes 24th February 2012 14:57

Thought it would be rude to not make the most of the sun, so got a few more pictures with my dads 4s instead of my crappy 3gs! So much better quality!

Yeh similar to how low I want to go. I dont have to deal with any big speed bumps daily, so shouldnt be a problem :)

Cam 24th February 2012 15:01

Looks sweeet josh, the whole south east is going to be posi blue soon

Yeah dan yours is well too low for me ha. I wanna still be able to use my lower strut brace.. but i can imagine its not really useable any lower than 50mm. So may have to sell it. Oh well

Posi blue is one of those colours that looks so dull when not polished - on yours, and in the sun, you can really see the flake "pop". Are the alloys a matt grey?

The particles/flake in the paint mate, you can see it in the pic taken down the side of the car with just the door and wheel in shot
