looks pretty aggressive with black bonnet and pins i think, i'd personally leave off the chevs. but i might keep eyes out for black bonnet

raunchz 15th December 2009 15:24

I prefer it without the chevrons IMO

xxo0pko0xx 16th December 2009 15:28

hmmm tbh i think it looks to bland W//O chevrons tho. got some up to date pics now :)

xxo0pko0xx 16th December 2009 15:29

had 1 lad look at my car today and say it looks shite :(
then again he does drive a standard diesel :S

xxo0pko0xx 16th December 2009 15:36

LEFT TO DO
Install washer jets
replace bumper
install power steering pump
bigger backboxx 4"
black multispoke rims and paint on a florecent like pink lip
Pink brake calipers
Big ass chav spoiler
rear diffuser
remove rear wiper
colour code VT kit
Squeeze in more audio somewhere??

marcusd 16th December 2009 16:07

stay away form the diffuser, the one i had on;y looked good from one angle. the meshed rear valance looks pretty good tho

aaa i c ok mate ill have a nosy around :)

Azza-VTR 16th December 2009 17:34

You definately need a new front bumper to finish it off with some black halo lights
I recon gloss black bump strips would look better and go with the bonnet well imo
Fitted my rear lights and my indicator bulbs don't work on the front or rear lmao - gonna have to have a fiddle around to get them working before Saturday

xxo0pko0xx 16th December 2009 19:51

had that prob with mine. It's the links with the lights where the bulb wires meet the socket

Azza-VTR 16th December 2009 22:10

I fixed them now mate - all working :)
By the way - you know how that bloke told you that all the bulbs for the rear lights where new as he replaced them for you
You need to phone him up and give him a fucking as they where very old - had to replace a few of them due to corrosion and peel on the orange indicator bulbs

ashwilson 16th December 2009 22:40

Gloss black strips would look insane.

I personally say loose the citeron badge on the bonnet.

Is that rim tape i see aswell? :P

xxo0pko0xx 17th December 2009 10:44

Oh I will mate the car was so fuckd from web u got it. To much oil dodgy bulbs dodgy brakes he's a idiot. Yer it's posi blue rim tape supposed to be glow in Dark but doesn't very well :s

Cammy 17th December 2009 11:06

quite like the front end

D8N_LL 17th December 2009 11:17

im not really fussed on the bonnet sorry mate, never really liked the smoothed mk2 bonnets, its different though and as long as you like it :y:

Saxo_theedge 17th December 2009 11:45

imo it would look miles better without the chevrons. And the bonnet raises make it look like its just been in a bump. Would look smart without those two things imo :y:

i agree with the rasiers tbh but they keep the bay temp down and work a treat so unfortuntley there staying for now :n:

Azza-VTR 18th December 2009 15:52

Will discuss some ideas with you tomorrow mate ;)
Cars looking the Sex imo - the crash did ya a favour really coz it looks miles better now -once them chevrons are posi blue they will suit the bonnet well imo mate :y:
Gloss black alloys and gloss black bump strips would give your motor the Jizz factor imo
If I stop down yours mate or Visa-versa we'll get ur alloys refurbed and sprayed up like new

:) yes mate will have to disscuss a time and date probs around the jan feb time mark??

bit of a update now tho. i accidently left a bleed cap open on my radiator so the engine overheated for about 10 miles :(. the heat warning light didnt come on and temp was a bit of the max limit and the general temp hits at just above half way anyway. problem is i now have a strong smell of burning coolant in the car HG failure? hope not :panic::panic::panic::panic:

Azza-VTR 18th December 2009 17:07

Just tighten the bleed screw back up and check the oil/coolent level and top up as much is needed and should be fine mate - this happened to the MG and it was fine

xxo0pko0xx 19th December 2009 09:27

yeah once i tigtened it the heat dropped back to just above half way and when i got back home i topped it up to max and bled the whole system and tightened them back up properly lol. hope it'll be ok i just hope HG failure isnt there cuz i got car booked in for body shop for end of jan doing crossmember :) and that isnt coming cheap TBH

xxo0pko0xx 19th December 2009 09:38

Was asked to swap my motor for a 106 GTI Yesterday
The 106 GTi mods are
40mm all round
halo headlamps in black
tinted rear lights
side windows tinted (very dark) but not the rear
dewipered
decat with a standard backbox. However he did say he would fit a backbox for me
Forced induction kit (NOT BMC)
full service history
recent cambelt change 500 miles ago
A nice orange colour
89k on engine
64k on gearbox

Bad bits are
Rust around sunroof, inside the passenger arch and on the bottom part of drivers front arch
needs new pads and disks on front
leatehr slightly ripped
Owned by a boy racer ive seen ragging it around

i Will say i seriously considered this offer but im unsure now due to the rust and insurance.
Thoughts would be nice tho

forgot to mention was a cat c write off but been fully repaired since ( 6 months ago)
2 months mot
4 months tax

ruthruthruth 19th December 2009 11:09

yer maybe a show cage and reclinging buckets :)
found a guide today on how to wire up a xbox into a headrest tv and make one. Problem is it costs like £400 to do lol.
you need to buy a mini tv. cut it out the headrest and put it in. get a adaptior for the ciggy lighter. plug into that and for the xbox get the covertor that changes plug sockets and do it via that way. is a thought for future :)

maybe for when its all fixed some buckets and a showcage in black?????

Azza-VTR 31st December 2009 16:31

Dunno mate - what colour is the bonnet - is it black or grey?
If its grey than spray alloys and cage grey + maybe roof
then Visa-versa if its black
Or you could stick to black and have your bonnet sprayed by that guy in Thorne by Gloss Black

jgilbert 31st December 2009 16:39

like the car bud, i prefer the mk2 with a grille but still looks awesome

Azza-VTR 1st January 2010 16:55

raunchz 11th January 2010 13:51

she's looking a lot better !!!

Would love to see what it'd look like with some anthracite/dark grey coloured chevrons on the front, or even black.

Also, front number plate is off centre :P
