RedB 14th August 2007 20:08

Here are the rest of the mods as promised ;)...

Old cigarette lighter

Chrome...

Old gear surround

Chrome...

Random R33 with an R34 GTR lump in i saw on saturday when i was on the way to pick up Eleanor from the body and paintshop...
Still looked sexy as hell, and i though it was an R33 until i walked over :p

Not a saxo but still pure sex!

Trax here we come :A:

Pedals i was given by a mate going spare as i dont want to fit them

RedB 14th August 2007 20:15

Meshing the grill....

Began by spraying all top 3 bolts of the grill with WD40 to loosen them more than a northern sluts fanny :p and then the two headlight bolts as well

Used molegrips and a wrench/adjustable spanner to undo the 5 bolts around the grill (3 on top, one each side and one in the center then one on top of each headlight)

After un-screwing all bolts i could unclip the grill and carefully remove

Waiting for the rest of the photos to download so i can post part 2...

Meshing the grill FINAL PART

After taking until 9pm to remove the induction kit and grill i finally managed to remove both fully to clean them before i took the grill inside to be meshed

Went with some black sports mesh from www.ragingspeed.com
and got a huge cut for £15 as they had some on discount at the time :A:

Removing the clips and screws around the backing of the mesh

Last of the screws undone...

Lifting the old grill out ready for the new mesh of choice

Removed the chevrons by flipping the grill onto its front and pushing all of the clips out in order and then pulling gently and carefully from the front to ease them off...

Decided not to use them for now but decided to keep them so i always have them here for future use

Was up until 11.30pm re-fitting everything so i could drive her to work this morning and i was cream crackered lol

Only pic i have of her as she is now taken today in the rain...

Induction kit now sits right and breathes in cooler air due to a new air feed and im really happy with the meshed grill results :A:

Enjoy!!

Your car looks smart!

Payney 14th August 2007 20:40

Looking sweet now Red.... Thought the grill would have looked shit meshed tbh... But doesn't look too bad, i think it helps that you've got the sexiest dark colour.

Adam_Q 14th August 2007 21:44

Love the progress fella... although you need to get yourself a decent camera... some of those pictures were crap ;)

So I take it the WD40 help with those bolts den ;)

How rude......

I've got Friday off so i'll pop down to yours if ya want...

Adam_Q 28th August 2007 13:44

For your information i do know a few skyline specs.....

This is what i know ;)

The GT-R came with the LCD screen in the centre of the dashboard

The GT-R V-Spec added two extra features to the display, the first being a measurement of lateral g-forces, and the second being a lap timer.

The GT-R M-spec Nür and GT-R V-spec II Nür had softer suspension, and a leather interior.

The R34 GT-R N1 did not have ABS, Air-Con, audio equipment, rear wiper, or carpet in the boot. Of course the lovely N1 engine was added :y:

The V-Spec II GT-R model has increased stiffness in the suspension and a lovely carbon bonnet!

The Nismo R34 Z-Tune was bored out, with a new crankshaft for a longer stroke and had a 2.8l engine, producing around 600bhp! oh and a believe it had a supercharger! Although

The Nismo R34 Z2 had all of the above but had simular body styling to that of the Nismo GT500, so engine bay vents on the bonnet and wheel arches. Also had bigger arches to take some bigger orgasmic wheels!!

Oh and both Z-Tunes are also completly hand made! so very pricey!

Adam_Q 28th August 2007 13:47

Oh and did you know that Veilside, in Japan, have modified an R34 Skyline GT-R to 1200 bhp. They have also modified an R32 Skyline GT-R to accelerate to 300 km/h in 13 seconds!!!

WTF!!!

Ok thats enough thread spamming.. ;)

RedB 29th August 2007 12:36

Spam spamming spam-loving spammer!

Theres a 2500bhp viper in the States across the pond :panic:
and skylines which have been modded well past that even a 1/4 mile r33 that does it in 7 seconds!!!

You missed out one or two specs and got some of the details wrong there but il let you off, we'll just say im right and leave it there lol...nuff' said

Pop down friday matey and ask your daddy about draining and changing gearbox oil for me? Bring some torx tools to remove the rocker covers for me aswell dude and il look at your car for you.

Il do your calipers for free also if you want aswell
Taking favours on the side as additional payment :p
