matt, is their no way you can get it running with your set up now?
|
Did you not understand that the KMS doesn't work with the standard saxo stepper motors? You just have to adjust the throttle stop on the throttle body to the parameters given by QEP with the KMS, then calibrate the TPS and off you go.

lol well i was the first person on here and ssc to have a kms fitted, possibly one of the first few people in the country, and i had it fitted by qep(for free of course) at a cost of £580 inc adaptor loom(price has gone up) with loan of wideband to map. There is idle control valve functionality on the ecu but it's not compatible with the standard one, you would need an external system, from memory it's a kms product, or some sort of bosch valve.
Instead of talking to gmc who just supply it, you should speak to QEP who are the uk distributor so will know a lot more about it. |
Good insight that Alex. Hopefully if Willsy was thinking of selling up the KMS just for the idle reason, he'll think again...

ECU plans have changed again.... ....and its not a choice that you'd expect. Will reveal more soon |
I ain't a clue what's going on with the car mate, ain't been on here for a month.....
|
IMHO you should stick with what you have (kms) and get it up to GMC by hook or by cruck and get them to map it.
OR Sell the KMS, plug the OE ECU in and book yourself in @ chipwizards. |
