So i've heard. But tbh, i like the noise of this one. As for heat getting to it and reducing power, lets face it, wont be that noticable so i dont care lol. If it aint broken, dont fix it :y: lol.

Just need to get my rocker painted now and order the badge. Then i plan on painting the head black.

Would look good dude :y:

I've also been looking at oil caps and water caps from 'Forge'. Chrome ones, look nice as hell but abit pricey. Mabye one day in the future though. Like i say, im trying to do everything on a budget at moment as im abit skint. So im doing everything that i can d.i.y. Helps being able to get alot of stuff from work too like hose and paint etc.

Cage is staying Daz :P lol. I love it lol. Swapped rocker covers for my spare one today, so i'll be painting it at work tomorrow. Also got Ducati engine half rubbed down tonight, getting that ready to be painted.

Bloody motors lol.

d4r3n 2nd March 2009 23:47

haha you mad chip why you painting bike for looking for something to do or something lol ?

CHIP 2nd March 2009 23:48

Just painting the engine as it's got typical Ducati syndrome where all the paint flakes off. Although a respray for the bike is on the cards lol.

d4r3n 2nd March 2009 23:50

Nah, afraid not. I'd quite like one, but it's quite costly to convert them :panic: lol. My uncles does sound tasty on his 1098r though. Especially with the new exhausts burbling away too ;) lol.

Bad times lol. R1's are abit mental lol. Im just abit preferentail of italian styling and charecter. Saying that, have you seen the new R1? Oh dear lol. Went to the reveiling at Chersterfield Motorcycles. Sounds poo and looks worse lol. Especially the back end.

d4r3n 3rd March 2009 00:04

nahh not a big fan of the new r1s tbh i loved the very 1st one that came out the red and white was sooo lush and yeah they are crazy front wheel never wants too stay down

Cheers dude lol.

Well, here's a little taster of what i did to the rocker cover today...

CHIP 4th March 2009 18:21

Rocker Cover on!

Fitted the rocker cover on my lunch break today so took some pics :geek:

Mind the oil on the head, it's because the spare rocker cover i had was off a 205, and the breather came off at a 45degree angle and fouled the coil. So i couldnt get the breather pipe on :panic: So i had to run it around like that for a day and half and it leaked a small bit of oil lol.

Shall be cleaned at the weekend :y:

Anyway, pictures:

Just a blue badge for it to be ordered now. I'll do that when i get paid... yes, i am that skint :( lol.

raiya 4th March 2009 21:10

Tbh pal, im not sure. Afew month back my rad burst, so i bought a new one. Typical of the supplier i picked (only one open Sundays), they supplied me the wrong one that had a place for a thermostat switch(?), which mine dosent have. But tbf, it mounted fine, so must be the right width, im guessing.

louis_23 4th March 2009 23:01

that looks fooking mint chip.

you bastard :boxing: there i go painting mine feeling all proude that it looks nice! then you have to go better it with yours looking even better lol

this relationship of ours chip :panic: i have to say its a love hate thing lol i love your car but hate it because its always one better than mine lol

ha ha nah seriously tho looking good mate good work ;)

CHIP 4th March 2009 23:08

Tbf, i made bit of a hash though lol. I went to fit it on my lunch, then realised i'd left the seal at work and i'd already got everything stripped apart. So i decided to use the seal off the spare rocker, which turned out to be abit tight getting it on lol.

Dont consider it better than yours lol. Yours is a smart looking Sax without going ott. Not in your face, but the details are good :y: I think the colour helps mine alot. Dark colours look good when clean, just hard to keep clean.

louis_23 4th March 2009 23:12

cheers bud :y:

what induction kit is that you got chip?

CHIP 4th March 2009 23:20

Can't remember what it is dude. Basically, it was one made for a VTS. But i adapted it to fit with some hose etc. from work. But the price in the shop was £50 or something and when i went to counter they charged me £20 lol. So i ran out after paying. :P

You mean the bog standard set-up? Alot noisier. Sounds nice imo. I was pleasently suprised when i fitted it, didnt think it would sound so good.

Has some competition to be heard now, mind. With the exhaust lol.
