but its a bugger to get in as you have to take off the steering wheel.

go have a look at the scrappies in marsh barton if your in exeter, they can probably get you a good set fairly cheap.

Its not difficult to take off steering wheel. Disconnect battery, wait ten minutes, then its a 2 minute job

I changed mine the other day. Disconnect battery for 10 minutes for airbag to discharge or something (I did another small job while waiting) then loosen 2 torx screws at rear of wheel. Lift airbag out. One big torx screw (t45 i think ) in centre of wheel. Loosen about half way, clout wheel on back at both sides with palm of hand til its loose, , finish undo big torx and lift off. Easy as

Lol, thanks. I were on my way back from work cause I work in Cas, Yea you probably have seen it at Ricky's it were there quite a lot when it was getting done :p

Lippy 6th March 2009 19:21

no point in having another screen in the glove box imo but if you have it already!?

speedo surround... you can remove the 3 bolts that hold up the steering column in place and its easy from there, no need to remove s/wheel! thats how i did my blue dials! Interiour looks a fresher now! :)

EDIT : Who sprayed your rocker cover again?

just seen this on the for sale section if your still considering VTS alloys... £180 posted, that aint too bad!

http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=213104

Do you get mates rates for getting stuff sprayed? I can do it myself but takes ages to do properly with rattle cans! I wanna get my rocker cover done in a color or polished to a chrome finish

I tired that but it just didnt look like it would come out as a clip would have to be broken, might give it a wiggle later.
