Il try and get some, my camera makes the yellow look white. The camera exaggerates yellow abit then they are like i said though.

Cant wait to get the fogs, il most likely tint themwith the lamin-x stuff. the headlights and fogs with tints might be a overkill. Unsure. Im yet to see a Saxo with full yellow headlights, fogs bulbs..

Prickle 4th May 2012 18:54

is that the rising sun coming to us? in fdm form!? pics next week in Yellow effect. :cool:

Yellow fog bulbs ordered today ;)

Next week sometime. :D

Pressed plates soon to make it look "cleaner".

Not to everyones taste, again but i like them..

blackie_2k5 4th May 2012 19:25

John!!!!

Best thing to do :)

I'd rather have it dropped a bit then pressed plates tbh, even a little drop makes a massive difference

OE height Saxos are the don. Hate to say it but i love how it sits on level ground. Park facing up a hill then you can see well below her arse.

Sorry to make a thread boring but thats how its staying...

Lamin-x man! Not too pricey either IMO compared to some bulbs on some sites say Autobulbs or something! and they look good! not OTT nice amount of yellow on show without the tint!

rey 15th May 2012 16:25

Mine hasn't been cleaned once since I bought it :oops:

They look better then they do in the pics and i think thats why most dislike them on here + its not the normal 10kHID/Osram sheep stuff people buy on here for their Saxos so. :homme: Pics dont do them justice.

About 2/3 weeks for mine :panic:

Thursday (first day off) the wheels are coming off for a full clean as the archs are too and il give underneath a rinse with the jetwash!

Im not expecting a epic shine like say darker colours but she will shine more then she has done.

Dont be lazy, get her washed! ;)

rey 15th May 2012 17:04

Nowhere to wash atm dude, it's sat on the road outside my uni flat.

Not running it through a car wash or nowt, might run a jetwash over it on friday afternoon, see how I feel haha!

Once I'm back from uni though, I'm doing a wheels off to clean job, painting calipers etc...

Fair enough! this car hasnt been through a carwash yet (in my ownership) in the near 5months ish ive owned it! and i dont plan it going in one ever haha.

rey 15th May 2012 17:15

My last car did as tbh I didn't really mind, it was quick and easy :homme:

The new one isn't going near one haha

Same, the Micras paint was already all over the shop anyway! wasnt fussed.

Swirl heaven, it can be sorted, but it would need a few hrs work.

Swirls on the saxo arnt too bad, id say the bonnets the worse.

rey 15th May 2012 17:42

Ha, my last car had been keyed on the bonnet, swirls were the least of my worries.

Mine seems to be pretty mint tbf, haven't really checked :homme:

Predator_R32 14th June 2012 23:43

Come on john get the bugger lowered

also when your working on arbs your best off putting the car on stands so theres no load at all on the anti roll bar, jack the strut up and remove droplink and lower jack makes it 100 times easier ;)

Didnt see this post. Yeh i always do things the harder way. :homme:

Not a mod as such but a update tbf (or should i of put this in my prog thread? :zainy: too late now)

Changed my gbox mount as the engine has play, ecu one is defo the main cause for this extra 'rocking' the engine has. Not saying this will cure it but it certainly wont be any worser. Lower one is powerflex..

No pic of the actual one but this is what it looks like the new one;

And old one;

Prickle 2nd July 2012 15:08

Changed front disks and pads, snapped my wrench :homme: I know they arnt that good but its all i could find.. anyway not many pics as we all know what OE disks and pads look like.

Taxd the car too. heh.

Snapped the wrench in the meantime. :A:

Old, not many pics.. my pass had a lovely groove it it! :wacko:

New;

Cleaned the insides of the alloys, both fronts are more or less the same. Not too bothered as il get the repainted inside and out.

I do plan on getting the S wheels refurbed in Silver soonish once i get some quotes. ideally the same if not a better Silver. Any ideas? with the codes too incase with a full set of rubber on them. :oops:

lwigmore 2nd July 2012 20:48
