agree with you raunchz, this is the ecu i will be getting in a couple of months.i did buy a kms but i sent it back to them as some of the problems that came up.
but i have heard good things of this vems pnp unit, also saxodaffy is using it on his 321bhp monster.

jpsaxo 25th April 2008 23:59

sAXo...

Mini-valver 26th April 2008 00:00

I'm using VEMS and wideband on my Clio. It's not Plug and play though, lol....

willsy 26th April 2008 00:05

Probably wont mean that much to many of you yet,

but,

Its having a Hydra ecu specially made for it. So far this ECU is only available for most of the Jap market but with my car the first one is being done with the aim being to smash the European market.

No need for any adaptor looms or chopping of looms.

Specially made so that it literally plugs into the engine loom plug like the standard ECU does, thus keeping costs right down on fitting labour.

The bloke thats making it/mapping it is an Ex World Rally Car technician who set up the business and used to do the mapping for some of them.

So itll have the best performance possible out of the engine and its guaranteed to be every bit as smooth on tickover.

Will keep everyone posted with this as soon as progress is made

Family friend has owned it for the last few years. I thought they'd sold it, but when i said i was after something cheap they said i could buy it. Been tucked up in the garage for the last few months-started first time.

only 1 owner before that too which they know and looked after it well.

willsy 3rd June 2008 23:18

3rd June- will it, or wont it?

With FCS now breathing down our necks i still dont have the Saxo back with me yet.

I have kinda forgotten about it over the last few weeks due to being so busy with other stuff.

I shall check up on progress of the software writing for the Hydra ECU tomorrow and see where we stand.

It should be back a week before FCS latest- but will it all go to plan?.....

AlexB 3rd June 2008 23:19

i hope it does man!!

Luke 3rd June 2008 23:20

I text you last week mate, no reply?

I was eager to know what's going on with it......to be honest, I can't see it attending but you never know.

lol not so optimistic Luke? Its been so long now since i started that with it being away so long ive lost a bit of interest. But its enabled me to help others out a fair bit and im sure ill be well in the swing of things again when it does return.

I cant remember receiving a txt from you mate? If i have and have missed it then i hope you'll accept my humble appologies. Its been ages since catching up last, hope alls going well.

Luke 3rd June 2008 23:26

Just with it been a totally new ECU, I'm worried about a few issues with it.

I hope you manage to get it back, sorted and everything done before FCS - I hope lol.
