Cheers mate, things can only get better, plus we have now found out the car 2nd in class infront was a 230bhp 1.6 16v MK2 Escort not much chance of catching it tbh...

pug205gti87 8th February 2009 00:28

my 1.9 was on twin 40 DCOE's, drank fuel but was good fun

Seems like you two have been busy since i last checked this thread.

Well done on the event yesterday, it was an awesome result for your first competitive event. The conditions also look much more favourable than the Wyedean yesterday which was just dangerous imo.

Ill have to keep an eye out on this thread to see if you are going to be doing any rallies around my area.

Loving the video as well.

MaRiO89 8th February 2009 09:36

Cheers Finchy and Nij..

Rhys - Cheers mate, we are very happy as the two cars that beat us in our class are around 230bhp..A rarity to come across 1600's with this power in UK rallying so we are hoping to do better next time out..We were never really gona catch them unless they had problems..

We will be in wales in a couple of months i think..Will let you know more closer to the time..

Cheers..

Bondie 8th February 2009 09:42

Cheers Rhys, it was an excellent day sunny for most of it, Foggy on here did the wyedean and pulled out because he thought it was ridiculously slippery etc....

We should be doing the Tour Of Caerwent in march but i dont think the MOD allow spectators, i may be wrong tho
