Change of plan. The cars repairable only panel damage but the build
and wheels are still for sale. Also have black
a and b pillars and sunvisors and also fibreglass tweeter pods
where the mirror adjusters are. Will also be selling
car once done.

then heres some pics after i stripped it down at work:

this is when it starts getting repaired:

Chassis leg before repair:

Chassis leg after repair:

also before i crashed i payed £190 for a full set of cyclones with brand new tires all round and theyre in mint condition:

and then ive just been prepping the vt kit for a respray with gloss black bump strips

and also made a euro grill:

let me know what you think so far...

Chloeex 11th February 2010 00:30

Bad luck for the crash, but fair play to you for wanting to repair it all afterwards. The boot build looked immense, some nice work :)

bluenotesmiley 11th February 2010 01:06

White bumpers are very hard to find mate. Shouldn't be too hard to sort though mate, will be nice to see sorted. I would try a semi-gloss black on the bump strips though mate.

mezza18 12th February 2010 23:10

nice grill

phil_live 13th February 2010 00:24

johnlambert 13th February 2010 00:53

love this car pal!!
the news about your crash sucks though!!!
glad your getting it sorted though!!

VTRelite 13th February 2010 01:08

Have you put a bit of plexiglass (sp?) over the hole in the floor of the build above the saxo logo?

mattperry 13th February 2010 08:33

looks nice till page 8! lovin the boot build!

leighwinter 13th February 2010 09:46

bit of t-cut mate and most of that will polish out :fcuk: really nice car though buddy glad your keeping it not that many white mk2 arround anymore how did you make that grill i neeeeeeed one :p

VJOFurio 16th February 2010 23:34

Good stuff, glad you're sorting it out after the crash rather than binning it like many. I did the same and spent over a grand repairing it and rebuilding it ourselves.

stormjojo1982 16th February 2010 23:50

repairs looking good, will be good a white saxo back on the road instead of scrapped.

UPDATE

right paint prep pics:

Paint pics, cars only colour coded atm but the bump strips will be goin gloss black asap:

BUT as you all know by now with me the good news come with some considerably bad news...

while the bits were being painted i installed the new rad and filled it up, only to see all the fluid pissing out of the engine. so i jacked the car up and got underneath to find this:

not good, big crack in the block and a really pissed of me. but ive come this far and im not giving up now. so straight on the blower and managed to sort myself out a new engine (1.4 still) and it should be here by the weekend. so me, my mate and my dad will have the new one in in no time. and then its off to be raised and the cyclones are goin black and then goin on the car.

let me know what you think so far...

Tom5190 22nd February 2010 00:40

nightmare about the crack, hopefully then new engine will be decent. glad to see your sticking at it!
