-Jason- 17th January 2009 18:05

Look good on most cars tbh just make it look abit more subtle at the front

skippi90 17th January 2009 18:06

I meant would it look good spraying the headlight posi blue?

Get the impression you guys think I mean black/silver lights on posi blue car.

r_i_c_h_1 17th January 2009 18:11

Great idea.... apart from the 'chrome' is designed to reflect the light that's why it's there d'oh!!

-Jason- 17th January 2009 18:20

Well it passes an mot so no big issue.

As for colour coding the backing not really seen it before only silver and black

NICK2506 16th February 2009 12:03

I tried this today, put the lights in the oven like directed, but the glue didnt melt. so i couldnt pull the lights apart.
can someone help me :)

steven1451 16th February 2009 13:03

just wondering the glue is white and looks quite messy is it possible to scrape this all off an reseal with something like black tigerseal which will be less notcieable

justan1100 17th February 2009 22:37

all im worried about is resealing it all..

when you come round to putting the painted install back in wont the glue cool and harden while your putting it all back together? Also is there enough glue that if you scrape a little out when taken em apart there is still gonna be enough to seal em back up? Or is some sort of silicone needed?

cheers

Heres mine

is it just me or are the indicator lenses different colours on that? is 1 yellowy and the other clear or 1 yellowy and the other 1 missing?

moony_vtr 18th February 2009 00:13

yh but i bet coppers wnt even notice when they go by, its just like tintin the back lights

browne174 18th February 2009 15:36

nah dudes

it was because the wee clips on the lenses are pathetic and they just snapped so i has to go and butcher another set of lights to get a lense.

Its all good now cause i actually got round to changing the other faded one :y:

Fenton 18th February 2009 15:47

oh i see, how do you think they will look if the lense is smoked?

browne174 18th February 2009 15:51

i'd say they would look fine but i prefer my clear ones :)

91mikec 19th February 2009 14:50

im in the middle of doing this, waiting for coats to dry.
doing them black on my posi blue furio.
everything going fine so far, was very scared it would go wrong.
glass lens came off fine for me, only needed 6 mins on preheated 150 degrees.
will upload pics later or tomorrow.
