Interior - Buckets, Leathers or Recliners New gear gaitors (handbrake + gearstick) New gear knob New door cards Carpet Theres alsorts you can do mate - you could even uprate the brakes and sunstrip :p |

Hmm good ideas brakes as in 4 pots with groved and vented disks? Wouldn't be a bad way to blow £500 ;). Tbh tho I wouldn't mind 40mm tb on mine Also a fly wheel would gain revs nicely :) couldn't also fully service car then ie cambelt multi layed head etc etc but I wouldn't do mods on a vtr engine waste of money tbh prehaps just a few more like a catch tank and glossblacking all plastic bits :) |
few jobbies to do now that id thought id share with you all :y:
well i need to: change waterpump, cambelt, tensioners, prehaps the HG, gearbox oil and the spark plugs now still paint the calipers, still pink spray the vtr alloys black with a florecent pink lip paint all plastic black colours on the car gloss black |
Gonna be the sex mate :y:
Wheres the pink sax-p stickers? :p |
K so things changed I painted the nonnet posi blue not the best finsh but will upload pics later :y:
most postphoned as im preparing car for its mot it needs new gear linkages new number plates mirror glass new tyre new rear tyre valves bonnet popper refitting after this i may buy some angel eyes and bucket seats and lightly strip interior :) After the MOT i want to start modding the engine to around 150 bhp?? |
Painted the bonnet and slowley over the last week its been getting there. Now im happy with it :) so i thought id have a photo shoot on way back from shopping with the mrs
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dont know what to do now. After finshing my front end off i just need to replace a few pieces for MOT. Hopefully MOT it then dont know what to do? i would like a noisy fast monster so was thinking of dual 4" backboxes, decat and a VTS engine just running with VTR gearbox. If i started this build it will be around June time |
16v eh ?!
Sounds interesting !!! Also, don't you need to bolt that aerocatch down ? |
Looks loads better than the last time i saw it ;D.
Change them rear lights man! |

yeah in a ideal world and i know it sounds stupid but would love a civic type r vtec engine but that looming would be a nightmare lol. can you bolt vtec to a 16v?? or is it something to do with the ecu. im gonna google it! Quote:
|
vtec is an internal engine function!!!
You can't just fit it to an engine !! You need to bolt the catch surround to the bonnet !!! Then it'll be fine !!! 16v would be a god way to go, is better to do than spend money on exhausts/induction kits - 16v gives you guaranteed power as opposed to just a lot of noise but not really getting anywhere |

also i wouldnt mind some bike bodies on it if i saved up enough :) |
|
cheers bud all from google was honda civic/ s2000 vtec engines :S
|
buy a honda if you want vtec - but vtec isn't like engaging a rocket !!
|
off all this tho i dont understand how it lets vtec cars hit like 10k rpm :S
|
Quote:
The reving to 9k is to do with the valvetrain components - you could rev to 9k on a 16v vts engine, but would need a lot spending on the engine so it was safe reving this high. Remember though that parts will wear quicker at the higher rpms. |
Quote:
all i really like about vtec is that when a standard 6k limiter car hits its end the vtec gains most of its power then ![]() ![]() ![]() |
but a vtec car has no balls below 6k

Mine has a 7400 limiter at the mo - having standalone means I can change it just by plugging the laptop in.
Never really take it above 4-5k tbh - no real need on the roads driving about |

tbh tho with all your mods what is your car like for petrol consumption? |
just as a reminder to myself i thought of a few things i need to get before starting my 16v project
list includes 12 months mot angel lights dual 3.5" backboxes decat |

Lol, 300miles to a tank is about right for me tbh - if I wanted fuel economy I'd own a diesel:p

upon looking at ur ecotec video i slipped accross ram/electric superchargers. unsure on how useful they are tho lol. ill post a thread out :) |
Colourcode the bumpers, tint the rear light darker or buy mine, fit the Angel eyes and have my Bucket Seats ;)
|
im putting it thru mot, angels and a hid kit before moving onto engine. i want a racing wheel and show cage but unsure on buckets with stripped interior or gti leather :S
|
No the car wasnt clean but i popped down to a place to get info for a local rally day and couldnt help take some pictures of the scenerary :) a few might know where this is??
obviosuly im not sad enough to cvarry a camera around with me so unfortunetly you have somestoneage pictures to look at taken of a iphone :S ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i also decided on some final plans that now include modding it to a euro style car before dropping a vts lump into it. therefore im after delocking the doors, cmoothing the ariel and rear badges and some deep dish alloys and prehaqps a spot of colour coding the whole vt kit before the vts lump. sorry speed fans! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() cheers azza! Ok so ive been a bit confuzzled with plans for this car. so far ive decided on getting it through the mot then moving to the styling s then dropping a VTS lump into it lastly so plans for the looks are: smoothed door locks and ariel buckets and harnesses supersprint race section removing the dent on passenger 1/4 pannel strip it. ie remove rear seats, sound proofing but keep the carpet etc in :) then after that the spec i hope to run on a vts lump is 1.6 16v lump under 80k unlocked ecu p+p throttle bodie lightened fly wheel 4-2-1 mani and decat thats just to start with and will add bits as i go along. before dropping it into the engine tho i hope to replace cambelt, HG, thermostat, oil filter, headbolts and waterpump just so i dont have to strip it down at a later date. fingers crossed vts engine will be ready by october???? |
whats it like haveing ya car this low is it a pane ??
|
back end slides out alot and theres no body roll, plus the ride is a killer feel every pot hole. i would reccommend it for a fun/fast road car that you have fun in at weekends but for a everyday driver its a killer. Hopefully this will be my weekend driver this time next year if i get a megane 1.9td or something for the communting lol. if you wanted lowering id suggest 40 if your driving every day :y:
|
Aftter what seems like ages i finally got round to fitting the new slam pannel brought for a absolute bargin. everything now works on the car including the bonney latch closing fully!!!!. now just going to get the car through its mot then fit a decat.
since having ive also added a GMC 4-1 manifold and uprated the speakers a bit. pictures to follow :) |
Lightly cammed? come again?
|
Lightly cammed.. Mild cams- the ph1 Newman I have in it :)
|
ok so since my last pictures ive been very busy
my old bonnets fibreglass snapped. so in the skip that went to be replaced by a new shiny carbon fibre one with a real meatl skelton for better support i also uprated my noise box a bit with a GMC 4-1 manifold and my old exhaust of my peugeot my custom made backbox thats a bit knackered which is why its being held on my jublee clips :D furthermore i still have the cat on. this is for the pure purpose of the MOT in 2 weeks but after ill be removing it :) also sorted a few little niggles out :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
i like new bonnet!!!! need a widemouth at front and poss debadged or smooth boot to finish off.
loking good tho |
ahh manby airfield!
brings back some memories of ragging pretty much anythin we could get our hands on round there in my youth :D car looks nice mate, i like how low it is my old vtr used to be that low and never gave me any trouble down the B1200! lol. not sure on the new bonnet tho i prefered the old one |

as for the bonnets i think i like the old one. the fact that it was smoothed and quite liked and it cut accross the lights for a more agressive look :) thanks for the comment matey :y: |
