painted inner wing.....new grp n gearbox mount and gearbox fitted!

while i had the tin out thought would try these before paying compomotive 40quid for some anodised red ones!

jeffchiz 19th July 2012 20:55

Stealth106 20th July 2012 15:59

rain guard back on
grp n engine mounts fitted!
shocks in struts now....and one strut on before the rain hit...

Stealth106 20th July 2012 20:38

Stealth106 19th November 2013 17:38

well its been a long time since ive been here!!! But im back!

The cars headgasket has finally gone after loosing a water bore plug over last winter,

the bore plug was replaced but about 1000 miles later she finally gave in!

But shes not dead!
The headgasket was replaced along with a new cambelt at the same time!, the water pump was done the previous year....after a drive back and some funny idle issues I took her off the road to buy an mr2 roadster as a reliable everyday car!

that didn't end well....with a snapped conrod one month into ownership!

so while I decided if im going to put a better engine or a rebuilt one in the mr2....I thought the 106 needed some love again....

I never compression tested my engine until today...

with a reading of
215
220
220
218

im quite happy with that!

ive also removed the loom to deal with my idle issue....its down to a faulty wire that when I wiggle it, it corrects the problem. Im convinced its the connectors that push fit onto the ICV and TPS....im tempted to solder some wires directly onto the pins and use spade connectors further down?! has anyone tried this??!

will follow with some pics.....
