Small pre pre fcs update:

My fcs tickets and track time have arrived.

My winddeflectors were stolen so i got another set.

Before

After

My saxo was at my wedding and my loving wife got the photographer to take a picture of it.

Bare in mind its crap quality as its copyright quality.

Really looking forward to fcs just need to change my pads, mot it and clean it. So not too much.

Cheers dan

Well it has been a while since my last update, not much has happened I got another set of vts wheels of gav off here, got bored painted them black:

During:

Done:(not the best of pics I know)

Then I noticed my rear compensator valve has broken:

Badgersport off here kindly donated his old one off the xsi but i had a problem my unions are old, rusty and made of cheese so I ordered this:

Which contained:

So I'm all set to do it now when the weather improves.

Since I've had the half leathers I've been stuck what to do with the door cards as I hate 106 door cards in saxos and hate desire door cards as they have to have the grommit in for the window winder, but randomly browsing eBay today I noticed and won these for practically nothing. Genuine leather saxo door cards.

That's about it for now, cars been faultless and has gone over the 100k mark now.

Cheers for looking
Dan

Cheers matey I have the odd time when I wanna sell but then as soon as I drive it again the love comes back. Ye good luck with the conversion mate, if you need any advise just ask make sure the ECU is unlocked as that's a pain in the rear otherwise.

I saw those up for sale on eBay, I don't think they are genuine leather door cards, when I contacted the guy he said he leathered them a few years ago and put a stitching through the middle of them?

Bugger knows then mate, he told me there genuine so I guess we will see when they come. Either way I'm not too bothered as long as there good condition and arnt shitly done it will still look loads better then the vts door cards.

That's true, I remember reading in the ad that it had a small rip in the passengers side I think?

dan-sport 16th January 2014 21:11

You were right matey there not genuine which is disappointing but what's even worse is that they have a bloody gromit where you guessed it the window winder hole is!!
Pissed off as that's why I haven't changed my door cards yet as I didn't want the gromit look.

On the brighter side they have been done to a high standard and look bloody good fitted, I'll get a picture tomorrow fitted but here are some more awful pictures from my iPhone enjoy.

Old vs new:

dan-sport 17th January 2014 10:09

Got some pictures fitted just as i got too work this morning:

Cheers for looking.

Assenracing 17th January 2014 10:50

Small update:

I swopped the sports cat over for a decat earlier, cars sounds exactly the same only with more bangs so I'm happy with that.

On another note Im really happy with the car atm tbh, I've only got small plans ATM:

Black a,b,c pillars
Dye headlining black
4-2-1 manifold
Yellow stuff pads front and rear
Change rear compensator over and make new lines
New drivers seat (small tear in centre of alcantar)
Then some paint work on front bumper and bonnet.

So not a lot tbh just small jobs that need getting around to.

dan-sport 15th February 2014 22:15

Well I've had a bit of trouble with the linkage split pin, it kept vibrating out but luckily somebody had put a different one in at some point so it was slightly longer so out came the tap and die set:

Then the finished product: (ignore the shite paste round the zorst joint)

Finished opinion no play at all in the stick and it feels nice and tight to change gear again so its been a win win situation as the pin had a small amount of play beforehand.

Cheers for reading

dan-sport 25th February 2014 21:43

Most boring update ever?

Bonnet hinge clip snapped on me last weekend so I had to use one of my favourite inventions the cable tie.

Quick jump on eBay and i ordered a pack of 2 genuine Citroen clips so I now have a spare.
