to clear up the legality
the reflective lense is the part required for mot purposes (the oval bit the bulb is in the centre of)
dont paint that and youll be fine seen a few people paint that bit
it ruins the lights function so its hard to drive at night and will fail

Llardy 20th February 2009 00:51

cheers, cleared it up now

Cowboi 24th March 2009 09:51

thanks alex was haveing second thoughts whether or not to do it but if it legal with the oval not painted i think ill do it :D

great guide but 150 degrees is rather high is it not? i put the first one in for 9 mins on 60 degrees and it melted the bottom slightly

Right to answer some questions, I Repared the Glass on my light other day and used Black Tigerseal and those clips to hold them on... Not come off, I tryed to spray them today and had to get a knife in this time, aswell as heating them... Tiger seal them in lads, TRUST ME, they wont come out :)

Snickers420 12th May 2009 21:55

just finished mine now, used tiger seal and sprayed matt black. looks good. great guide! :)

Just want to say to Salmon1 that mate your silver saxo is exactly how i wanted mine lol

Looks fucking mint all colour coded like that! Good guide and will be attempting this soon, rather spray the standard light than spend £130 on xenon angel eyes which are now common as fuck.

TraV 2nd July 2009 10:53

Can you do this to all lights on the saxo?

Front, back and side? or only front and back

mattbarnes34 2nd July 2009 11:09

you can do this to front headlights and fog lights if you have fogs.
only tint the lens on the rear and same on side indicators! which is different to this must use tint spray not black spray paint!

Mikey-Sax 2nd July 2009 13:54

These look pukka. Added to the list of things to do to my Silver VTR!
