dankzy 6th March 2010 18:03

yer it a ibiza splitter, was anoying to fit because of his drainpipe lol

Lewis 6th March 2010 19:14

Lol yep its an Ibiza splitter. Bought it already cut up but we had to modify it to fit the exhaust. I think they are £20 from seat so a worth while mod IMO :y:

Lewis 7th March 2010 18:40

No its the front splitter, you have to modify it to get it to fit

Lewis 7th March 2010 20:02

Put on the refurbed steelies today, so now i can get on with refurbing the VTS rims :)

Thanks man, splitter is a bit of a faf on to install, lots of messing on taking the bumper off. As long as you dont need to cut a massive hole for the exhaust its pretty simple but time consuming.

Good one mate, Admiral seem to be a brilliant company post 1st year.

Are you adding both your parents as named drivers as thats how im getting such low quotes, it works wonders.

And Coventry is the best ;)

Cars coming along nicely, like the changes since i last looked, get rid of that rear wiper though.

you studying automtovie design? I studied it at northumbria, still only coventry, huddersfield & northumbria that do it? Ye coventry is a good place for it but for me the place is a bit of a dive! Northumbria was perfect for me far enough from home but still local if i ever want to drop in at home. Newcastle nightlife rules, the city is a really nice place to live. Also the design deparment just moved to a brand new campus last year which is amazing. The lectures/course leaders are amazing help & really friendly.

Cheers for the info mate. When i did my research the uni's that most suited what i want were Swansea, Bradford, Huddersfield and Coventry. Huddersfield came out being the most desirable overall so im hoping for that. It is a good 90 mins drive but worth it.

What did you reckon of the corse you sudied and did you get a job pretty quickly?

Lewis 15th March 2010 21:44

Orded some Toyo T1-R's the other night, came to £164 delivered. I was undecided wether to spend £200 and get Goodyear Eagle F1's but in the end opted to save my birthday money :)

Also half way through refurbing my VTS wheels in Rover Gunmetal grey. Ill get pics up as soon as they are finished.

Cheers

Tom5190 15th March 2010 21:48

Are the eagles £200 for 4 or 2?

Lewis 16th March 2010 11:33

For 4 mate. Great price i know but i still need to pay for: Fitting, balancing and tracking.

Tom5190 16th March 2010 20:25

Is your tracking out like? £5 a wheel at the place I use for balanceing

can you do tracking like tom? your quite handy to no you lol

Tom5190 16th March 2010 22:43

ye i can do tracking bud, i can balance wheels & fit tyres to but alot of citroen wheels dont have removable centre caps and our machine at work dosent have the required adaptor (we dont do much tyre fitting)

Yea me and rich found this out, i can get the fitting done on the cheap, just the tracking and balancing are gonna be costly. How much for the tracking Tom? I think mine is a bit out.

Lewis 7th April 2010 20:54

Thought id update the current status of my car, unfortunatly no pics but ill get some tommorow.

Ok so, at the moment its sitting on Anthrite VTS rims at the rear with toyo T1R's, black steelies up front. Freshly refurbished black drums on the back.

This saturday im getting the front struts replaced as the hubs are cross threaded, after that ill be able to fit the front VTS rims and mudflaps. The rear mudflaps have been devoured, ive had to drastically chop them as they were dragging on the ground.

Then future plans are induction kit, and inspired by Tom5190's backbox, im gonna have a crack at building a custom back box. Then who knows after that i think ill just keep it clean until FCS :D

Lewis 9th April 2010 15:42

Right here we go the big update before my front S wheels go on, which i should have images for tommorow afternoon :y:

So the pics i got are the car sitting on VTS wheel on the rear, i removed the splitter today also and fitted my mudflaps all round.

And the big update is my wacky exhaust. Custom installed it is a straight through centre silencer from a Toyota Yaris. So it now sounds raspy and pops quite a lot, yet sounds really deep like a decat :P

Also fitted a piperX air filter courtesy of sm02_saxo cheers mate! The zorst and air filter work in perfect harmony, ill get a video up eventually :P

Anyways here the images. Enjoy.

Cheers
Lewis

Final update i think today :'(

I feel ive came to an end, most likely ill do something else to the car but im thinking of selling up for something else. So im posting some images of how the car stands to date for you guys to enjoy.

Since the last update, ive got VTS wheels all round, custom exhaust tip, removed mud flaps and ive gave it a good clean and wax.

Thanks for looking :y:
