Ah yeah its because you have removed the ecu and the engine bay looks so tidy...

jpsaxo 12th September 2013 10:19

Yep, also removed both fuse boxes, all wiring where possible, bonnet stand bracket + loom plug bracket & fuse box bracket and filled in all the remaining holes too.

hard_corejoeboy 12th September 2013 10:20

Where was it all relocated to?

jpsaxo 12th September 2013 14:05

Beaniemoo combined all the fuse boxes into 1 nice tidy fuse box modified to fit into the standard fuse box bracket, and still has good access too :)

hard_corejoeboy 12th September 2013 14:10

Where does my beaniemoo live?!

BIG 12th September 2013 20:59

Near milton keynes joe boy

OK update time;

Mango once again parked up over the winter...

I was extremely pleased with the SPA digital dash, however while it was custom reprogrammed for me they had messed up and it wasnt saving some settings, for example it wasnt saving the fact I wasnt using pressure 2, or the circumference of my tyre, rev limiter LED colour change etc etc

So thats been recently removed and sent back to SPA, along with the speedo sensor which also gave up the ghost after less than 500 miles. tut tut!

Next up was the fix the SHOCKING state that the carbon roof had got itself into this summer....

Im sure this shouldnt happen after a few years & being dry stored over winter... but anyway it needed fixing regardless. So the car went straight down to Bic and I paid to have the roof re-lacquered, and the spoiler too. They did a great job so I was pleased :)

And the spoiler too...

Next up is to begin the BE conversion

2 BE boxes;

BE shafts ready to be chopped up to get the correct length...

Next updates for the mango will come around Christmas time when im next back in the UK

On a side note the famous XR racecar still has chalk on it from the 2012 Ring trip, over a year ago now lol

Ring toaster getting some use 'down-under'

:D

And I have my tickets for the v8supercars in Bathurst in a few weeks time + 3 day stand passes for the Sydney 500 at the start of december :D

JoeHindle 19th September 2013 03:42

Good update Josh, as ever, roof and spoiler look spot on, and the S1 looks just, well, superb! Haha

Looking forward to seeing the progress with the box conversion! :D

Haha @ the S1, loved driving the S1 when I was in the UK.... thrash it through the country lanes every day... But no point in insuring it at the moment with me only back for 6 weeks a year in the UK & I have access to the 200k+ Dirty diesel 106 when I'm back. But also no point in selling it as it's worth bugger all lol

Yes your right roof + spoiler is an awesome job from the looks of it (I haven't seen it in person yet lol). BE conversion will help get my confidence back in the car, stupid MA cheese boxes always breaking!

JoeHindle 23rd September 2013 04:33

Haha! Glad my car won't be going next year, although I'd leave the chalk for the giggles haha! It's all part of the fun ;)
