Looks ok, bit too low!

Please tell me you aren't putting a sub in that parcel shelf !!

white_vts_boy 29th October 2013 08:43

no sub in the shelf, the shelf came like that! too low? not low enough!

m4tt274 29th October 2013 09:47

4 out of 10.

would not bang.

Alex-W 29th October 2013 09:50

Looks clean and I'm always a fan of standard VTS wheels.

It is too low though. Stupidly low does not = better.

Gandi699 29th October 2013 09:50

rear splitter is fail too

white_vts_boy 29th October 2013 10:23

i prefer the low look but each to their own it handles well and is still practical, the splitter looks better in real life

Giraffe 29th October 2013 10:27

Every time I've seen this I've always thought it looked nice, just too low as others are saying.

j40mek 29th October 2013 10:31

Car looks nice mate would love a white Vts

Jamie 29th October 2013 10:31

Looks nice as said too low, not a fan of the splitter and instal.

holdawayt 29th October 2013 10:35

If I was to have a Saxo again (I'd rather put my tongue on Susan Boyle's ring piece and count to thirty) I'd have one like this. Clean, subtle and low.

I'd raise it a bit, but it's not bad. Oh and if it doesn't already have them - GTI leathers.

white_vts_boy 29th October 2013 10:35

interesting comments about being too low! where have u seenit mate?

white_vts_boy 29th October 2013 10:39

Me? Around Normanby and parked up at Asda in Southbank I think.

DeIboy 29th October 2013 10:43

6/10 very nice looking car, wouldn't be practical for me though living in speed bump land.

Alex-W 29th October 2013 10:44

Don't get me wrong, these cars should be lowered, They are far too high as standard and with some nice suspension and a drop between 30-50mm they are spot on.

But too low just looks like its broken. Not to mention the reduced handling ability, spoiled geometry and impracticality.

One of my friends is very into the euro scene. And after around 5 years of blowouts, breakdowns etc he has realised that stupidly low and stretched tyres etc is not cool.

Anyway, do you have any other plans for the car?

white_vts_boy 29th October 2013 11:01

maybe another supersprint exhaust needs undersealing again like to keep a standard look currently on rallye steels for the winter

m4tt274 29th October 2013 13:59

it needs undersealing again?

By going even lower?

craig180 29th October 2013 14:15

When I put a splitter on the rear of my Golf I plastic welded the end bits in so it looked OE.

IMO the splitter spoils this car and if it were mine I would have it sat higher at the back, or lower at the front. Otherwise, pretty tidy.

5/10. Not a bad effort.
