1 Attachment(s)
Will i be ok to drive with my numberplate here?
|
Can I ask why?
Why not stick it on top of your dashboard? |
I'm guessing its not as my wiper "just" touches it..
Wheres best place? Apart from front bumper? Doubt dash board will be ok as its not exactly on display.. |
i would say no but u never know with these laws
|
Top of dashboard inside the car really, as already stated.
|

Kinda, will just whack it on dash board and hope for best.
Going to be going on a 2 hour trip like and on the m6 (pure police last time i went on it). Might just stop at my local police station before i set off and get a bit of advice :) Cheers. |
Dashboard will be more legal than where you had it taped lol.
Why cant you have it in the usual place? Yeah ask the po po, best to double check. |
get some sticky numbers and attach to your bonnet, can get them from wh smiths or halfords
|
put it in your dash passeneger side jammed against window....if police ask say it fell off and theres nothing you can do....our local fuzz officer told my mate in his civic and its perfectly legal
hope this helps bud |
.
dunno if its ilegal but i wouldnt take a chance with it stuck up there coz im sure that it would come off! just put it where it should be coz at the end of the day its only a few numbers n letters n people dnt look at it.
|

the front number plate has to be infront of the front wheels |

Lol thanks everyone.
Wasn't much police around as was dark, i just put it on the dash with a bit of blue tack. To whoever asked why it cant go on the front, i've got my new bumper on the front and its still in the 'priming' stages. :y: Cheers everyone, tried repping a couple but have to spread. |

love how you think you have won in some kind of way just because lots of people do it doesnt mean its legal. if we're going by your theory, then i may go and steal some cars tonight. lots of people do it so it must be legal. |

Ask the Law for their Advice. |
![]() american but you get the gist of it |
It must depend on the police tbh as a friend of mine got a telling off from police after having his front bumper smoothed off and not wanting to drill holes in it.
Apparently if its in the front window you can easily remove it when speeding past front facing cameras. Not sure if the officer was suffering from PMT but he told him to sort it out and issued a producer! |

Police round my way have spoken to a few of my mates about having plates in their windows, saying they need to be be put back on the bumper. Gues it depends on where you are?
|

i agree |
As far as i know, it's illegal to have your plate in your window.
It needs to be on the front of the car. If it was in your window you can just remove it whenever you get to a camera, and speed on through (head on ones obviously.) |
Paul, its simple shouldnt have a shity bodykit haha jokes mate txt me back muther trucker!
