Greenman's Mk2 black VTS ****Possibly For Sale****

I picked this baby up a couple of weeks ago, It's my first sax and I have to say I'm fairly pleased. 1 previous owner from new and a full dealer history ;)

At the moment the car is pretty much standard but I have plans for some subtle mods over the coming months. These include lowering 40mm all around, a nice exhaust (supersprint) smoked headlights (possible angel eyes but unsure)
Money spent so far has been on car cleaning equipment, probably around £200 so far! And sorting out the hydrolic lifters which were noisy.

I'm going to re-furb the wheels, although really tidy I'm after an anthricite look.

Any comments welcome!

White or Anthracite wheels.

greenman 29th September 2008 11:29

Anthracite I think I'm going for

fossie 29th September 2008 11:35

Go white matey with the alloys, make the car stand out more!!

greenman 29th September 2008 11:37

Might have to do a photoshop then and take a look!

daz_rt_04 29th September 2008 12:04

Ok little update. After much hunting around I finally went with an exhaust. And probably against some people on here, I went with a powerflow Firstly because I knew the garage second because they had done my cars in the past and thirdly it was fully customisable, I didn't want some stupid Jap looking box and I didn't want a straight cut I wanted a slash to match the bumper lines.

I Must say I'm 100% happy, it sounds & looks amazing and I have noticed the car pulls better in higher revs.

Will get some photos up but here's a youtube link for now

Let me know what you think.

Right the latest is that I blew my engine up :( But on the plus side I managed to find a rear ended vts with 51K on the clock, So I handed over £250 notes for the new engine and went about stripping my old one out installing the new. Whilst I was about it I cleaned the bay out and resprayed any previous marks/damage and repaired a couple of rust spots that I found under the ecu tray.

The swap went without a hitch and took me two days to complete, I had a little problem firing it but was just the inertia switch sticking.

I have just ordered up a omp strut brace and am in the process of polishing up the old rocker covers :A:

Also ordered a lovely set of spoox red silicone hoses which will be fitted once they arrive.

Enjoy the engine removal pics. I also did take photos along the way to create a guide on removing and fitting an engine, plus how to strip a gearbox. Hopefully when I get some time will get this up :)

Have no idea really. I don't drive that hard but it just went after a drive, thankfully outside my house. Sounded like I chucked a bag of nails in the engine and then it just died, wouldn't start and the engine management light came on :n:
Thought it was easier, less hassle and less money to just find a good engine and swap it over lol.

greenman 5th April 2009 15:09

While the weather is nice thought I'd get polishing. Been so nice to have the sax machine back. New engine is running sweet. This afternoon I shall be fitting the strut brace. Anyone who has fitted one where did you move the inertia switch to? Also my ram cold feed pipe arrived so will be cutting the bumper to accommodate this next :)

Comments welcome :)

Yea all good here mate, hows you? I fancy a MK1 Golf GTI/Clipper cabriolet. I'm not really in a rush to sell, just mainly seeing interest etc. Always been a dub fan, but the sax has been fun just time for a change I think.
