sound system
what door speakers would be best? iv got a 1600watt vibe sub and im geting a alpine ida-x200. any ideas? also if it helps i mostly listen to drumb and bass.
|
1600 max watts im guessing, quote in RMS ;)
components are the best for you, all depends on how much you have to spend?? |
Def a set of components mate, I have Alpine Type R componenets and they sound really good. In comparison to other components, the type r's do give out a bit more bass without distorting.

saying things like that tend to ruin your bank account.. but obv its your choice the JBL's in the link i posted are by no means bad. the best comps for under £50 by a long way.. dont mean to sound rude, but you dont sound like an audiophile, and therefore wouldnt notice the difference between the SPL's and the JBL's as much as someone who was more enthusiastic about audio would plus, buying the SPL's, means youd have to spend around £100 on an amp having said all that, i personally would rather have the SPL's. but then im more of an audio freak then you are and own a set of £250 components.. imo the set up in the link i suggested sounds best for your needs |
what comps you got ash?

i say £250 allthough i only paid £120 becuase CAD were selling the last few off cheap because the SAC range had just taken over ;) theyre still in the box though.. cant decide which amp to buy for them lol |
you could always go for the Spl woofers for £39.99 (without the crosovers or tweeters) and add a nice amp for £63.49
i feel this would be ideal for dnb lots of bass + it would be much easier to fit as they are a streight fit (13cm's) no drilling or worrying about where to place the tweeters. amp woofer's thats £105ish in total. one thing tho i dont think anyone has brough up, you will need an amp wiring kit which will set you back £20 :( good luck and all the best. |

you do realise all your hear is bass lines, and mid bass sounds? nothing else |
true, worth a punt. either way its going to cost £150ish for a nice setup. what channel amp has he got with is sub?? could me a nice little money saver there ;)

the JBL comps and alpine amp comes to under £100.. and it is an amazing set up on a budget although for me personally, a "nice" set up is in the region of £300 or more.. depends how much of an audio freak you are. to a true audiophile it would be well in to the 4 figures range for a decent set up and its a 2 channel amp |
you kow what ash i personaly think your right he should go for the Jbl's because the fact of the matter is he had a budget. why have a budget and be tempted with other stuff, i wish i could have got better comps than my SPL's but my budget said no! and you know what im happy now :)
|
no i dont no if i should save an get better 1s:(
|
build some door pods for 17cm speakers and buy some slightly cheaper comps like the yellow coned Pioneers, will sound alot better than some 13cm Alpines!
Agree with Alpine amps for speakers though the clarity is amazing for the price band! |
