Hey guys, I'm 19 and finally found a VTR.

2 weeks a go this was the first I looked at - bought her as it had done 79,000, 2 owners and big service history. Managed to get it for £1200. Originally that day I rang 9 Silver VTRs in the area, 8 of them were sold and the other one he wanted £2000.

Here she is standard when i bought her in Southampton back in march and next to mates lush quicksilver he's now sold

Also this gorgeous brunette that lives in same village as me who has same car has Citreon number plates with the logo in red before the numbers they look really cool but can't find them on the internet either?

nice VT mate, i really do like the gold saxo's lie marmite but i "love" them.
hope you have some good plans for it, start with badgeless grill and a bit lower , will look great ,

you got a really nice looking saxo there mate colour code and lower it then it would look mint

Just paid for a full service cambelt and alternator belt change. got to do tax this month as well so july i'll start to modd it. I want to get those tinted rear jueled lights. Lower 30-40mm stiffer on coilover, get a standard air box but can't find any, tint front lights, tint rear windows, private number plate l90 vtr, or luukey or something like it..and team dynamics obs in black keeping black and gold theme or oz superleggars sprayed in black then last one smoked side rep and larger backbox oh and get rid of rear wiper :y:

oh and front and rear brake capliers painted purple think that is what i want to do lol.

(where's the edit button can't find it?) don't mean calipers mean the pads lol. and also black mesh in frotn grill. on good kumho tyres already. :)

what backbox is that mate?

Standard VTR backbox? seen them on other VTRs.. I want to get a new backbox as that one is blowing and its too small anyway lol.

oh, i thought vtr ones were oval shaped...

like this (but sitting under the rear bumper my rubber had snapped lol

Oh I always thought that the oval shaped ones were the vts ones...does anyone know definately which is which?

Runs so much better now on the standard airbox. saving up for a panel filter

got my saxp stickers through the post



finally got round to meshing my grill. only had silver mesh in my shed that i nicked from a mates shed so had to spray it black



and finally got rid of the green dust caps and swopped them for black ones

next mod is going to be rear lights need opinion on what to get..

i'm stuck between mk1 lights or the smoked rear jewels? kind of leaning towards the mk1s now....

ps anyone who says lexus i'll shoot them :panic:

cheers man and loool....chrome snake eyes have to be thee most gash rear lights ever made not even funny lol - saw them on a 306 and then a old punto with black bumpers the other day you'd have to be heavily on crack to own those. :y:

postman came today with my mk1 rear lights



here's a picture half an hour a go...when i took it though it was really cloudy so the colour of my car changes in the light lol.

i try t keep on top of this car, change the oil every 3k, don't rag it oftern polish it oftern yet i can never keep on top. car is perfect apart from now the backbox is blowing and my rear brakes on the way out. and to top it off where i live they have re-paved all the roads the cheap and nasty way so i have had loads of stone chips from other viechles on the other side of the road send about 5 small chips on my bonnet and around the grill and 7 tiny chips in my windscreen. what's gonna be next the classic gearbox going? :cool:

Cheers mate! ironically i was looking at silver. my dad had gone to look at one in the morning. the guy selling wanted £1900. I looked on autotrader, rung 8 silver vtrs all around 51 plate and around 60-70k milage all were sold. Saw a gold 1 in southampton for sale for just £1400 on similar milage (79k) went had a look. mint and managed to get it for £1200.

Next 2 mods are going to be de-wiper and smoked side reps. where did you get the de-wiper gromit from? and the smoked side reps on ebay are alll around £15! so going to look around for cheaper..

de-wipered today and polished vtr with special pro polish for brand new cars as my dad is a car valeter and i'm part time..

Today I fitted Pioneer 13cm speakers in the front and smaller in the rear to upgrade the standard sound system....sounds alot better.
Don't know when I'll fit my JBL 6 by 9s and sub&amp yet....don't know if i can be bothered.

I reckon u spray the alloys black and, lower it m8 then it b amazin

Saving for team dynamics mate ;) black 'n' gold theme.......and yes definately needs to be lowered cheap i know but saving again for the 35mm apex kit. don't have £550 for eibachs or other top brands.. :(

Right. Had a new cat & downpipe fitted back in may. Well engine management light has kept coming on. Diagnotistic test said cat is knackered. Sooooo under the warrenty having a new cat fitted once again can't understand why it didn't last more than 8 weeks to be honest....Just glad the problem which I thought would be big with the managment light coming in is the garages problem and not mine as i'm tight for money as it is.

had my new cat fitted my 3rd..but exhaust being a bitch still. and problems with back box blowing so sod it along with the centre box and possibly the manifold. I'm saving up and my priorities for the next few months is to have got a janspeed 4-2-1 manifold with the sports cat then from there a supersprint cat-back.

I love gold saxo's they make me hate mine lol

So after finally finding out what was wrong with my cat and why i am on my 3rd i now know what the problem is and not only that the engine management light has turned off on its own. :hug:
