Suspension:

Gmc Springs
Powerflex anti-roll bar bushes
Powerflex Wishbone Bushes
Sparco Upper strut brace

Brakes:

GTI-6 front Calipers(283mm)
Black Diamond Drilled Disks

Looks very low key on the outside vs the spec list ;)
Plans?

Just the way I like it,externally nothing will change at all, except I will respray the rear badges silver as they are a bit dull. Everything will go on making it quicker and handle better. So bodies etc are planned.

Subtle is the way forwards (i reckon so anyways )
Leaving the inside as is?

Cheers, no the inside wont be staying the same, I need to sort the odd seats out and it will probably lose the rear seats to a cage. But I havent really decided with the interior.

Its running KMS. The BHP varies between rolling road, when the cams were put in and the KMS mapped it made 156BHP at the fly. I would have thought it would be slightly higher now as things bed in.

Awesome spec mate fair play. Not really feeling the angels Id change them for smoked stds or normal stds as they look a bit chavvy in my opinion. Looks great other than that

NICK2506 21st May 2009 19:34

btw....dewiper :y:
and t-cut badges, and also cut the centre pipe down to stop magnex sticking out so much. then it will be spotless imo!! :)

SaxoAL 21st May 2009 19:38

Was looking at that one myself. minter mate :y: Nice one.

AndySAXO 21st May 2009 20:23

very nice, maybe change the front head lights?

a very nice buy tho :y:

andy

makaveli144 21st May 2009 20:47

I was unsure about the front lights too but they have grown on me.I don't drive around with the angel eyes on so I don't think there that chavvy.

AndySAXO 21st May 2009 21:03

yer just look abit too much chromey to me, by the car still looks mint with or without them tbf tho, it a very nice buy indeed :A:

Very nice mate, :)

makaveli144 23rd May 2009 17:55

Cheers it is nice looking.

It has started to develop a series of oil leaks though. It looks like it is leaking from the oil cooler sandwhich plate and somewhere between the head and the bottom end. Not good, I had forgotten that saxos break.

The cams seals on mine have a little line around them but not really a leak. the sandwhich filter seems to be leaking aswell. Not sure how to sort that out though.

I dont actually know what that filter is matey :(
Need to rip the cam covers off mine soonish and see whats goin on

makaveli144 2nd June 2009 11:36

Epic failure, I tried resealing the cam covers yesterday to stop the oil leak and iv made it quite a bit worse. Took it out for a run, smoke and oil everywhere, wouldnt be suprised if theres none left tbh.

Im assuming I bought the wrong stuff.

Any advice would be great.

Simon 2nd June 2009 13:42

Speak to Willsy......think he had the lip on his rockers machined down, to make them seal better.

Skorpion 2nd June 2009 13:57

Like simon says have a word with Matt!

Toad 2nd June 2009 14:14

How did you *attempt* to seal them?

When you take them off, make sure all the left over sealent is taken off the cam ladders and the bottom of the cam covers. Use some fine wet and dry paper or whatever, to make the surface nice and smooth and clean. You can get a gasket sealent from Halfrauds. Just make sure it's one that works up to a decent temperature, but 99% will be fine as that area doesn't get really hot. Probably no hotter than 170c at a guess...

Make sure you put more oil in before turning the engine over!!!

Bickerton 2nd June 2009 15:27

That not good matey.
I hadn;t seen what that sealent was before you showed me it, assumed was the right thing.
I used a copper silicone sealent when i did mine by loctite, as mentioed some people grind the lugs down a little but i didnt need to myself

Berg 2nd June 2009 16:40

thats a shitter

i used a whole tube of loctite gaskket sealer on mine and it still leaked lol

still leaking slightly now but nothing bad

Amiee 2nd June 2009 16:54

Nice one Dan :D Havent seen the thread unitll now :)

I just bought the wrong stuff. Got some new stuff now, same as your copper stuff but its black. I have just resealed them so will give it another go tomorrow. Worried that some of the crap will have got mixed in with what oil is left now.

makaveli144 3rd June 2009 19:45

Just started the car again and suprise suprise its leaking oil again.

Anybody want to buy it?pm offers

Bickerton 3rd June 2009 19:49

Less of a leak or?

makaveli144 3rd June 2009 20:03

Yea less of a leak but still means iv got to take the cover off again and seal it etc.so going to do that at the weekend as I can't be arsed now.if that doesn't work I will buy c2 rockers.if that doesn't work then it will be in the for sale section.

Alot of people have issues resealing these rocker tbh, either works or it doesn't.
Some people grind the lugs down etc. C2 covers will sort any problem you have matey just dont come cheap

Liam_ 3rd June 2009 20:30

Check your local scrappies. I think some engines fitted to the 307 have the same rockers?
