X895INVER progress thread.. New headlights fitted
 

Hello there.. Thought it was time to start up a progress thread on here, considering this is the only place I use to help me when Im stuck with the amount of info on here, and its good seein all the different approaches on moddin saxos.

So, I own a saxo vtr 03 plate, bought it just in the middle of summer 2009, it came pretty much standerd off my mate with 64k on the clock at a decent price. The only thing he had already done was get a powerflow cat back system fitted, which I was goin to get anyway. So since then Iv just had a few wee things done.

K&N 57i gen2
Powerflow custom 3in cat< exhaust
raceland upper strut brace
Pioneer head unit
Home made short ariel
Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 se in 15s
De wiped
Spax psx kit 40mm all round
Streamline Carbon mirror caps
Wind deflectors
Ultra, black headlights


Plans:
Carbon, spoiler, bonnet.
Fast road cam kit
Piper 4-1 manifold (heatwrapped)
Saxsport race exhaust
Stand alone management
Either Yamaha r1 or gsxr throttle bodies and inlet manni
Mocal 12 row oil cooler
Silicone hoses
Fixed back buck seats and 4 point harnesses
Oil pressure/temp, air/fuel ratio gauges






Plans are never ending but the outcome will hopefully end up the way I want it.

Right so the car is headin to the garage in the next 2 weeks to get the coilies fitted, thinkin on lowerin 40mm all round, but is it better to have the back end lowerd slightly more or less than the front or would it be fine, 40 all round? Rear flaps will be coming off aswell but leavin on the front ones. :p

wicked...yeah ive not cleaned my car or taken pics for a while as in this weather as soon as you clean it its dirty again :n:

totaly, I stay out in the country side a bit aswell so if its not dry it not clean! Pretty annoyin but the roads are ace! ;)

Right so just took a few photos with the wheels on and the interior. Semi stripped out inside for just now, got another carpet but not puttin it in for now. Let me know what you think!

Weeell, just a wee update to say that my car passed its mot, all that I know of so far that i needed was new rear discs and pads (sorted myself), new num plates and a wheel bearing, so all good and hopefully coilovers on next week! :A:

Just a wee update, aint been able to much past few days. Changed the oil, oil filter today with a semi synthetic 10w-40
Got coilovers booked in but wont be gettin done for 2 weeks, so until then il be spending no money and gettin some more diy jobs done!

Calipers
 

Well, finally gettin a chance for a wee update. Last night I decided to paint the front calipers, doin the rear ones on Monday whilst I will also be taking off the rear rallyflaps. Getting coilovers fitted on Wednesday. Hopefully Friday Il be getting black angels and carbon mirror caps. Also thinking on Gettin spoiler and grille sprayed gloss black.

Well, yet again aint had time to get onto the computer recently. I went and got my coilovers fitted on Wednesday and Im well pleased with the look. Iv had it dropped 60 all round, nice round corners and looks mint but its just the bumpy parts thats annoyin... Its worth it! With it dropped 60 i took off my front mudflaps buts had left the back ones on but cut shorter (may take them off later!)
Also got headlights and carbon mirror caps on order. So with more jobs this week hopefully il have another update soon.

Finally got a chance to give the car a proper clean the other day, was good but the next day it started raining and it didnt stop for 2 days. Hit 2 big floods last night trying to take my mate home and ended up taking the longest way, atleast got home safe in the end! :p
