serious Q? could be a winner...

has any1 thought why there is no saxo magazine out there,
we have VW mags and Ford mags but no saxo mag,

we have enougth people on here to start 1 what do you all think???

davidandrews5343 16th September 2009 10:43

You could maybe get away with a citreon magazine, but not purely a saxo one

Raz 16th September 2009 10:45

VW is a company, Ford is a company, Saxo is a model of Citroen (another company)

PFC Mag is for French Cars which is shit as well, but no need for a dedicated mag

Graeme 16th September 2009 10:46

we have PFC mate quite alot of people on here have been in the mag

GingeVTS 16th September 2009 10:50

well they do performance VW, and GOLF+

OK so we cnt do a saxo 1 but we could do 1 based on all citroen and pugs??

Performance french car.

Don't think anybody needs a magazine on saxos when we have the internetz.. why spend 5 quid on a magazine when i can photos and progress threads online..

GingeVTS 16th September 2009 10:52

it might create a bigger scene tho??

Dude, give up mate, it's a nice idea, there just really isn't a market for it.

GingeVTS 16th September 2009 10:56

well we have max power and fast car and they are bought a lot

GingeVTS 16th September 2009 10:56

not a good idea then!!!!

Bickerton 16th September 2009 11:01

No real market for a car that hasn't been produced for about 6 years

could say the same about camper vans but they are still popular. The fact is saxos dont have a huge following unlike minis, golfs, campervans so there is no market for a saxo magazine

They are a totally different league to a saxo :D

Matt67 16th September 2009 11:16

Like i said mate, the stuff you read in magazines you can get on the net for free.

Ryan 16th September 2009 11:35

Golfs and retro fords are enthusiasts cars, with a big bit of history behind the scene unlike saxos

Totally different target audiences, one has money, one has 3 kids with 3 different 16 year olds lol.

kcsaxo 16th September 2009 11:39

as many have said, the saxo doesnt have the history, also i have yet to see mad engine conversions or twin engined saxo's apart from the k20a RWD one.

twin gti-6 saxo has been done, although the owner ran out of funds before the kitted monstrocity was finished.

could be subtler imo, although the off the shelf bumpers are a big improvement over the 1 off ones it had before.

I remeber colin showing me the wheels they were so damn sexy

Bickerton 16th September 2009 12:13

Probably built it with what they sold the wheels for :D

Ben 16th September 2009 12:14

I think that looks awesome now tbh. Thats a nice aftermarket kit.

You're being sarcastic right?

I dont like the direction it has gone in tbh but glad someone has done something with it. The bodykit would've been the first thing to come off if I'd got it. I saw this and was tempted but put off by the fact that I doubted the workmanship when fitting the engines and thought it'd be more trouble than its worth. I doubted it due to the bodykit and thought some chav had got his 'mechanic' mate to fit the engines. Judging a book by its cover I know, but it can help avoid a lemon.

Tony the arches and engines were fitted at pug performance.

Tony 16th September 2009 14:35

Becuase they have the best reputation ;)

It is better than what I thought, but it has gone now.

C'est la vie.

Mieran 16th September 2009 14:38

Saxo is dead, why would someone make a mag based on a dead car.

Making a mag for a Citroen is a bad idea too because your average citroen driver isn't exactly an enthusiast who reads car mags.
