as long as that is on an angle will be fine don't want it to straight otherwise oil will just pool there. But snap here is one of my old one pretty simple same cituning kit just I got it inseperates and got everythign else cheap

sexoturbs 17th October 2009 21:08

i think i will invest in a whole tube like that. instead of my spare bits and pipe lol.

Sophia_Bush 17th October 2009 21:12

nah if yours does the job mate then keep it at that just make sure there is more of an angle in it if poss as its gravity return

Spanky 17th October 2009 21:16

still need to get my sump sorted for this.

Think the sensor hole on the VTS sump is to far over, so may use that for an oil temp sensor and drill a hole to the far right (when you look from the front) of the sump.

just hoping i dont have to relocate my oil filter, cba with that lol

sexoturbs 17th October 2009 21:16

nope myn is getting on now lol. needs replacing! yea i no its easy for you. my mani sits my turbo right down next to it. but all is good :) thanks

lol my relocation was easy to do. but i bought it as a kit soo just had to put it together.

Spanky 17th October 2009 21:21

well mine is using an adapted standard mani, so im not sure how it will sit.

Will just have to find out, although i may just get a smaller filter, sure Gav said a R5 one fits and is half the size...

sexoturbs 17th October 2009 21:37

:O secrets that have been kept from me lol. well good luck man hope it fits!

was your downpipe always resting there or is it not fitted properly in that pic? looks to be touching the body

blackie_2k5 18th October 2009 12:44

alos lads, should tag these pics into the turbo/supergharger thread will be a simple guide so to speak, evry little wil help for those who need the info :)

Sophia_Bush 18th October 2009 13:29

was just resting andy do you lot think it would be a benefit to post my old turbo build pics so people know what to expect?

blackie_2k5 18th October 2009 13:44

id say defo mate, any pics can be good for ppl for reference, would probably save alot of random posts to, will give an idea of how things look, what sort of work is involved etc? evryone should post their pics and a lil explanation underneath of whats in the pic ie the oil drain to sump in the pics above :) all good for helping ppl out isnt it, that pic above will stop threads on where and how to fit an oil dran? so gotta be worth it imo

So that's what the Cituning oil drain looks like, when I was talking to them they said they used 2x hoses & a joiner :p

Sexoturbs, do you know the internal diameter of the hose?

Thanks.

sexoturbs 18th October 2009 17:09

Awesome, if you could get me the internal diameter it would be GREAT!! :y:

Thanks.

blackie_2k5 18th October 2009 17:28

would that be so you could source some piping for your set up?

Pretty much, the basic kit from cituning is not supplied with any sort of gear to sort oil drain to the sump, I've seen on ebay a barbed flange for the turbo but the outlet size is only 16mm, I have nothing to compare this size against hence the favour from Sexoturbs :y:, from the reading I have done 16mm 'maybe' to small and I should be looking at 20mm :panic:

ManC

blackie_2k5 18th October 2009 17:48

id say 16 would be resyrictive but then warm oil is quite runny, id imagine 20-22mm be better size

swampy 18th October 2009 18:40

If you can get me the lengths and angles of each part i can get some sorted and im positive it would be cheaper than pt.

Sophia_Bush 18th October 2009 18:43

if you guys need a oil return pipe for your setups give me a shout when needed as the place I get my stuff from usually has off cuts and get them free so cost to you is postage depending on size needed

sexoturbs 18th October 2009 19:01

sorry people i fell asleep :O my bad! ill be round their 1st thing tomorow. so ill be sure to get the size for you
