no comparison mate. i can drive this one round all day at a good speed and not even tax the engine. but then if i do need a bit of extra kick, there is.

for a 1.4 its suprisingly quick. I got a green filter to go in the raceland, but i cant get to it at the moment, dont even know what filter is in there!

im loving it though!

gsavill90 19th November 2009 22:44

Yeh it's nice to be able to accelerate in a gear that isn't second!
Not much difference between the 1.4 and vtr tbh.
Looks awesome too, really like the morettes!

J222JRA 19th November 2009 22:48

very tidy mate. Posi blue and white wheels is an awesome combination.

Lippy 20th November 2009 00:02

Oh goodey new thread to spam on! I joke...

Ive driven it and its pretty nippy for a 1.4 considering! Hopefully Sneaky is gonna let me lose on it in small stages ;)

EDIT : I think Peado bear has to go though tbh

Richy25988 20th November 2009 00:54

Welcome to the 1.4 club :D
Although mine is undergoing a vts (aka WestcoastS conversion atm) :y:

Good luck with it :y:

Predator_R32 20th November 2009 00:57

yeah thats agreed. not sure if the R wheels will stay, as i plan to get a gti6 brake set-up on it, so will need at least 15's.

oooh, plans, hmm not 100% sure on everything, but things to work towards at mo are:

-gti6 brake conversion/new 15" alloys (maybe VTS, maybe Speedline Comp 2's as pred suggested)
-Sort ICE out properly, second amp and sub etc
-New dials, poss plasma, poss Mk2 with LED's

not got any massive plans, but do need to fix the leak in the sunroof! got drenched INSIDE the car today!

yeah, photoshoot for sure :P

Trace_xX 22nd November 2009 00:29

I have a real soft spot for posi blue saxo`s, I like the white and blue theme it really sets it out from the croud!! :)

gsavill90 22nd November 2009 00:55

Brakes are a very good idea. Going to look at uprating mine as soon as i get the engine out of the way. Braking from anything above 70 just doesn't happen...
If you want some white faced Mk2 dials i might be able to get you some for the price of postage!

The Black bonnet? i do have it yes, but theyre are 2 rather annoying scratches on it. Not realy that noticeable, they do polish out a little, but its not mint.

the sunroof is completely fucked. the seal doesnt fit properly anymore. its missing about a million screws, most of it is rusted and as soon as it rains waters going to piss through everywhere again.

i spent the last hour cleaning the thing up, removing the seal (which wasnt actually stuck in at all) got it ready, trial fitted it, fitted, then applied tiger seal as silicone would just come loose, stuck in half, moved sunroof, stuck in other half and oh look, it doesnt fit now, took it out, moved it around, again, still didnt fit, eventually got it somewhere near fit closed the roof to seal it while it dries and it just pops off on the corners.

so thats fucked and now on top of that i have a roof and sunroof covered with tiger seal.

iv just bought the damn thing, im broke, i cant afford a new bloody sunroof.

gsavill90 24th November 2009 11:43

Are you sure it's the seal and not the drain things?
I had a sunroof that didn't close properly for ages, like you could see sunlight through it, and that barely leaked at all.

As for the tigerseal, apparently you can get it off with rubbing and a hairdryer.

it was the drain pipes, but the seal wasnt even stuck on with anything! that cant be good!

my dad removed the tigerseal while i was having a strop thankfully. Going back out now to sort out the inside of the car.
