My Golden Gash Progress thread: Saxo 1.1

Hey everyone I recently got a gold saxo for my 18th and has been nicknamed Golden Nugged and Golden Gash ;) not got a lot of updates atm because i'm skint, but it's only my first car :p

This is what it looked like when i bought it, 2001 reg and only 65,000 miles for £995

Please leave me a comment!! :fcuk:

lockley91 9th December 2009 18:09

with my bday cash i bought some smoked jewels off Ebay for only £55 inc P&P which i thought was reasonable. Fitted them today and am happy with how they look, only took me around 30 mins and considering i know nothing of DIY im quite pleased.

Comments welcome...

I wanted to t-cut the badges today but got none left. The mark is where the paint has come off :n: was like that when i bought it

spaghettifufanu 10th December 2009 18:47

Lights look sweet on the gold mate .

lockley91 10th December 2009 18:50

scott-e- 10th December 2009 18:53

Lewis 10th December 2009 19:15

Good start, everything looks wayy wetter when its lowerd so save some money :)

scott-e- 10th December 2009 19:37

what you putting in interms of ice?

lockley91 10th December 2009 20:45

Hmm not sure, got a good cd player n It came with 6x9's on parcel shelf when I bought it

scott-e- 10th December 2009 20:51

what cd player is it?
have you got standard door speakers?

lockley91 10th December 2009 21:16

It's a jvc player, and some reason only the parcels are wired up.. door speakers don't work

scott-e- 10th December 2009 21:35

has it got front door speakers lol? (they may have been taken out when you bought it)
id say keep the headunit and scrap the parcel 6x9's
throw a set of comps in the front and a sub in the back

or if your feeling adventurous put a 7'' monitor stereo in ya dash like me lol

lockley91 11th December 2009 16:02

tbh i'm going to leave the sound system as it is because it sounds pretty decent :)

lockley91 11th December 2009 16:05

Small update:

SAX-P sticker is on the car :y: just hope they don't peel off with the rain lol

saxovtsmad 11th December 2009 16:13

lockley91 13th December 2009 16:12

Saxo & Citroen badges T-cut

I borrowed some T-cut off a mate the other day and tried to T-cut the front chevrons.. until i was told they won't work lol. So today I had a go at the Saxo and Citroen badges on the rear, and they came out like a treat :D They took around 30+ mins but once you see the black coming through it's worth it! :y:

*dimma grill

Might think of some more ideas in due course :zainy:

demon_dan 17th December 2009 00:10

Looks loads better with the black badges mate. Have you thought about getting some tinted/smoked side repeaters ...not expensive and a 5 min job :y:

lockley91 18th December 2009 16:59

yeahh I might get some, just been looking and they are about £15 on Ebay

luke1988 18th December 2009 17:03

just looked at your thread and it's a nice furio... but the grill on the front is it easy to fit? ive seen them on Ebay :y:

luke1988 18th December 2009 17:36

yeah they are mate, there are about 4 or 5 bolts that hold it in to the bonnet and the new dimma grill has screw lugs in the smae location as the original grill so it bolts right in place :y:

Azza-VTR 18th December 2009 17:47

Starting to look great mate - keep up the progess - VT kit needed ;)

-GG- 23rd December 2009 19:56

Very easy job to do yourself, get a can of e-tech tinting spray for like £6/7 and smoke em yourself, its worth it.

sneddon 24th December 2009 16:23

looks good mate

sammyp 24th December 2009 16:41

looks better mate :)

k_singh91 26th December 2009 13:32

nice start, looks good..

lockley91 28th December 2009 19:28

Little update: Just bought a pair of SPARCO shoulder pads :P black with white writing and stripes, only £15 from Halfords

P90PTS 28th December 2009 19:33

The penton sticker, heat and a bit of dental floss will bring it off nice and easy, then any APC will get all excess glue off too

lockley91 9th January 2010 16:06

got another great idea thanks for a member of SaxP, i saw someone with this sticker and thought it was epic, so i had to get it :D
