paddy the not so irish not actually a westcoast *secret revealed--SOLD and gone now*

its late and im entertaining myself as best i can so i thought id put a thread together for this car so ima say about it then lob a few pics at the end like

its my daily after the vtR shat itself
it seemed a decent motor (youll see why i put seemed if you read)
my luck has been shit again though
tbh thought its a change from me buying something reasonable nick and destroying it this one turns out its allready fucked so were off to a bad start lol

basically its an irish vts (1380cc 8v motor in a vts chassis)
logbook is a westcoast
but had disc rear beam
abs
vts interior
vts spoiler
vtr alloys
standard alarm
and is maritius blue which wasnt an option on uk westys
im not sure how its ended up in this country as a westy as most stay declaired as a vts like
but ah well dont mind lmao

anyway the car has a few mods to it
its lowered (60 front 30 rear)
its got an induction kit thats shit
its got blue rear window tints
debadged bootlid
mark 2 rear wiper arm
ive fitted my goodmans headunit
and it had alpine door speakers in it

and the issues ive allready had are
biggest is i cheched the left 2 tyres for tread they were ok and never looked at the right and right front is on its markers so 2 new ones needed
few front panels dont quite line up and there are a few bits of kit not fitted right and one arch is cracked looks as if its been bumped but everything important is straight so not too fussed tbh it still drives fin so fuck how it looks
missing chevrons out the grill
the windscreen cracked in the cold somehow which was nice
and the heated rear screen doesnt work (suspect the fuse has been removed to stop the heat effecting the tints)
both wing mirrors are smashed to bits and dont stay still when you drive over 60
passenger door doesnt open from the outside
drivers door check strap broken
i went to shut the door and the check strap jammed so i pulled the handle out the doorcard and broke it
central locking doesnt work
alarm button fell out the fob
missing rear headrests
spare tyre on it was cracked all round one side so no use (lucky lea donated his old one to me)
and the grill fell out yesterday after i hit a bird
and said bird broke my foglight too

apart from that its a shed lol!

but its what i get tbh
ive lost the love for saxos lately
im not fucking about in the cold
in the spring ill sort out the vtR again
maybe refit the bodypanels on this so they line up and pull the tints off it lol

anyway enough blabbering
im sure you wanna see pics of this abomination to the world of saxos

here is the day i got it

and here it stands now in its filthy broken state

luckily of the above list i have the following sat here for when it warms up and i decide to make it presentable if i can be arsed

foglights out of my vtR
windscreen from my gti shell
door mechanism and check strap pillaged off gti shell
origonal mirrors off my vtR
got a set of wheels today for 50 quid with 2 new tyres and 2 with 4mm of tread so they can go on it
mark 2 vtr interior will solve doorcard and rear headrest issues

only things i wanna sort quick is the central locking and the alarm so i need a new fob and then to see what the score is on the alarm like
hopefully once the vtR is running again i can just tidy this body wise and it should make a reasonable daily
its allready lowered ect so im not messing about there like (even if it is nosedive spectacular lol)

anyway nuff chatting shit
im sure none of you will a

webby 24th December 2009 01:14

do you still have the gti or is that gone? dont drive like a loon man and im sure it will be a good little runner once sorted.

AlexB 24th December 2009 01:15

currently the gti is sat as a shell in my garden with a few panels on and getting used as a shed
it was up for sale but no interest so scrap soon i think :/

all i do in this so far is motorway cruising to random places and potting to town for the job centre and stuff

webby 24th December 2009 01:19

right so the gti is dead/going. the posi vtr is going to replace what the gti should have been. so all the hot parts brakes ect are staying put.

nicole_ 24th December 2009 01:21

told you you'd do a progress thread,
you're still not allowed to play with it okay lol

im not even fixing the broken stuff till its warm
all ima go is put the new wheels on it so i have decent rubber

-Alex- 24th December 2009 01:51

You and nicole are amazing at buying cars! :)

AlexB 24th December 2009 01:55

haha normally i find em pretty tidy and ruin them alex
nicole was set on that white one no matter what tbh so i just said get it and we could sort whatever was up
and this one tbh i didnt care it worked and was cheapish so i had it lol
main thing i bought it for was the colour which is a rare thing for me to do as ive only bought 2 cars for there colour and one was my first vts lol
im not even planning to fix the doors ect at any point soon
literally dont car on my own cars at the moment

JamesR 24th December 2009 02:16

tbh with yours aswell its an odd day here and there for a few hours lol
with like my vtR its a good few days of 6 hours out in the cold doing either heavy work (on ice with an engine crane wount be fun lol) or fiddly shit like the loom routing to get it working again and tbh i cba with that lol

AlexB 24th December 2009 16:09

sorted my bald/flat tyres out

50 quid for these with 2 new tyres up front and 2 4mm of tread rear

mate in the last year or so in northern ireland, its been a trend by the farming type to trade off their cyclones or their mille migilia spyders on their 306s/xsaras in favour of volcanes!!! :homme:

heres a few funnies:

they are woeful!!!!:wall::wall::wall:

AlexB 25th December 2009 10:53

haha epic!!

its all about the tucked in stance of 5.5j

Maxwell 25th December 2009 12:27

lol they are truly a horrid wheel but @ £50 for the set (when retards here pay up to £180 - NO JOKE) im sure they arent bad for an old set of wheels to move the car about the field :P

AlexB 25th December 2009 12:29

haha tbh i dont really care how they look
the cars a shed anyway so the wheels just add to it lmao

i bought them mostly for the tyres as the ones on my vtr rims were fucked so they do the trick

there "skinny snow tyres like a rally car for winter" lmao!!

Maxwell 25th December 2009 12:36

ohhh aye!!! lol

though you would need to master the scandinavian flick :P

AlexB 25th December 2009 12:56

benkelsall 25th December 2009 18:38

AlexB 25th December 2009 18:48

and i will for you lol

AlexB 28th December 2009 03:18

HAHA!!
it lasted long then :(

earth from the pikey battery installation fried itself so i lost all battery power to the car
luckily i wasnt far from anywere so hid inside for the AA to save me

new earth bodge off the dude and away i went
i will be redoing that properly tbh
but when is the bigger question there as i still cba with the heap
