Boucler 15th May 2010 23:15

Nice mate. I always wanted a Black VTS. ;) Hopefully that's coming next :D

Love it.

BreconShadow 15th May 2010 23:25

tidy that mate
where ya get them alloys from?

chris84 15th May 2010 23:31

Got them from mad motors mate, there inovit rapid in 15's, matt black with the red lip. They were £460 delivered with 20mm spacers iirc.

joe333 16th May 2010 14:28

iSlayeR 16th May 2010 14:41

60mm front/80mm back, that's how low it was when I bought it when it was standard. Getting the back lifted to 60mm as it's a fucking killer on bumpy roads!!!!!!!!!

timmythechef 16th May 2010 21:46

really nice 's' mate, super clean, id say thats been well looked after :y:

chris84 25th May 2010 21:23

Small update, i went and got my s/s raceland manifold fitted at manic motors last friday so i thought id put a few pics up. The tone of my magnex cat back and piper de- cat has changed nicely, loads of deep burble at idle and pops and bangs on demand now! So next i am hoping to get it rolling roaded in a few weeks to see how she is running. Will be happy with 130bhp if she manages it!!!

Paul 25th May 2010 21:26

Looks like its in really good condition.

Only thing i would recommend you do is sand the rust off the ECU / Battery trays down and give them a splash of black hammerite.

Rez 25th May 2010 21:27

I love your car chriss with the black trim, nice and clean and sit's like a 10 dollar whore. Well done fella:clapping:

LaZzY 25th May 2010 21:31

I still have a shit load of jobs to do under the bonnet untill its finished mate, all the standard nuts and bolts are going to be chromed or red, any rusty bits are going to be sanded and sprayed ect ect ect could go on forever!! Cheers for the comment though

10 Dollar whore eh mate!! I like the sound of that!! Ive only had the car 11wks and bought it totally standard apart from being lowered, should be more like a 10 grand whore in a year or so then!! lol

jimbo06 25th May 2010 21:41

Looks spot on mate :y:

Got it for a bargain price mate, mint condition, standard car apart from lowered (too fucking much at the back!!) , 2 owners, 44k, 6mnths tax, 12mnts mot, psh, £2000!!! Few more £££ been spunked on it since then though.

K17NEY 25th May 2010 22:14

Stunning mate! keep an eye on that alternator with the raceland fitted tho, mine fryed my alternator wires within a month.

dav0506 25th May 2010 22:19

Very nice car mate. Not usually a fan of black but it looks lovely and clean, very nice effort. Alloys look sweet and the engine bay looks mint too. Keep up the good work :y:

chris84 1st August 2010 16:24

Thought it was about time for a little update as its been ages! I recently had my cam-belt, water pump and tensioner, idlers and full coolant change as well as new spark plugs and a compression test which came back spot on done at manic motors and had the rear raised to 60mm as i was sick of not having any suspention at all when it was down 80mm! I finally got round to tinting my fog lights and painting the rear calipers red to match the fronts. The fan got painted red as well and im on the look out for a second one to even it out a it looks a bit odd i think with housing for two but only one there! Heres a few pics from today, it needs a good clean but anyway here goes.

A pic of the lonely fan in need of a twin!

A few shots of my engine bay with new ash silicon induction hose

Got a couple of videos of my Raceland 4-2-1 with full s/s system:

Getting some mirror caps on very soon at last!!!It has been pissing me off for ages now, also got some heco wind deflectors coming this week and a dimma style grille so will put some pics up of them when i can.:y::y:

Aly 1st August 2010 16:58

Sounds mint mate, engine bay looks spotless.

chris84 1st August 2010 17:17

Thanks mate, still a long way to go yet though. Ive only had the car since march, was bog standard when i bought it!

chris84 8th August 2010 15:05

Little update for today, i received my heco wind deflectors and my dimma style grille the other day so got them fitted. The grille is a £25 posted off e-bay from America and is good quality and fit. The heco wind deflectors look smart as fuck on black cars i think. Any way heres a few pics

saxomad197 8th August 2010 15:16

look good very clean you prob have another one. my mate had 14 mk5 fiesta zetec s before he stopped. everyone was going be his last one, he on his 28th car in 3 years of driving

-shuggles- 8th August 2010 16:06

sounds like my old saxo:o looks good buddy:y:

should get mk1 rear lights and I would say the bank end would be perfect:y:

chris84 8th August 2010 16:29

Cheers for the comments, aye i have been thinking mk1 rear lights would suit it better myself, might invest in some soon! :p:p

piranhamatt 8th August 2010 16:36

Looks good
Deffo MK1 lights on rear, theyre practically standard and darker

XdarbyX 8th August 2010 19:38

Thats one shiny saxo! looks great mate, especially the engine

kierancee 8th August 2010 21:39

SaxoIOW 8th August 2010 21:46

Ha, bet you cant wait for the conversion, my last saxo looked identical with the same wheels on in black but was a vtr, I thought you were going down the cammed vtr route aiming for around 130bhp?

SaxoIOW 14th August 2010 12:33

Yea that was the idea but im looking for more power :D Going for the cammed 16v insted. And no i cant wait lol, just need to find a 3 plug engine and loom first:n:

chris84 14th September 2010 13:59

Gave the engine bay a bit of a clean today and took a pic, Have got a small update coming over the next few days which includes:

New omp upper strut brace in red,
Carbon effect battery cover,
Finally mirror caps!!!!,
Chrome indicator bulbs,
Mk 1 rear lights,
Re - sprayed dimma style grille,
Nosey c*nt door badges,
New gell rocker cover badge.

Also im in 2 minds weather to get my rocker covers professionally re-sprayed in the same colors as they are starting to fade due to the heat or get some brand new jp4 covers and get them sprayed the same as my j4's i have now. Decisions decisions!! What do you think would look best? Thanx for looking

ashwilson 14th September 2010 14:23

Spotless mate, thats gawjuss.

Not really keen on the alloys myself though!

chris84 14th September 2010 14:33

Cheers mate, i didnt want to go down the prorace 1.2's route or the re-sprayed vts alloys so i thought a red and black color theme would look nice, its not rim tape btw its the way the alloys are. :y: Each to there own i suppose.

charlie7543 14th September 2010 15:20

Very nice mate!

random_v2 14th September 2010 16:05

car looks amazing and i really like the wheels with the red rim, breaks all the black up nicely. love everything youve done to it so far

chris84 14th September 2010 16:10
