Dans vts project Stud drilled out cant drive for 2 months pic of my hand
 
Iv owned my vts for nearly 2 years so is about time i started one of these progress threads
I brought the car form london for £1500 quid with 63000 miles on the clock and 2 owners full service histroy it was up for £1650 but i knock the chap down think i got a barging lol





When i got the vts it was all ready lowerded 40mm at front 45mm at rear

tinted windows

green cotten air filter

Rear back box

I had to take the front tints off cos of the old bill

Tidy car mate.

What are your plans for it?

I would do the following:

- Smoked headlights
- Smoked fog lights
- Get the alloys sprayed anthracite grey
- Remove the tints

Cheers mate plans are to do

Dent in nearside door

good full service and cambelt

Remove front tints got pulled on first night out up ipswich and fined

New rear brakes

saxperience stickers rear windows

Few more updates

Done full service oil change/plugs/fuel filter/cleaned air filter

cam belt kit & auxillary belt

2 new front tyres

Drilled & groved rear disc EBC green stuff rear pads

Painted front & rear calipers red

Brake calipers and pads look great :clapping:. I think painting the alloys will make a big difference though :y:

Year m8 might paint them or get my bk racing 299 wheels refurbed of my vtr from when i crashed it lol

fitted sum blue footwell neons under the dash to a switch also change the boot light and front roof light to blue bulbs

Got a few more updates got the next weak of work so will be doing more to the car

Iv de-wiped the back



Taken the fusion sticker of rear bumper

put sum saxperience stickers on rear windows



Also fitted a sporttex rearbox as you could hear the baffles in the old one its 4 inch rolled tip

No mate why should i worry thay seam to be good got a bit better brake pedal as well

using drilled a grooved brakes on a dailys not always best way forward, actuali its not at all. they wont get hot enough to work proply so may glaze up, you would be alot better fitting some 266mm brakes with some good pads and disks, just vented disks not drilled grooved, think you will see alot better improvment, all imo like.

2000 vts ongoing project spax kit and exhaust fitted
 
Right got a brand new spax psx kit 40mm to fit got it for £180 plus the exhaust is fitted aswell

it was all ready drop 50mm but only on springs so i throught i would put a whole kit on

sound deading and amp rack
 
Got sum vibe deading for the boot foor and under the rear seats and made a amp rack and power cap rack and carpet them as well











Got 2 mini cooling fans coming for the amp to keep it cool

Had a little trip to halfords today and got sum bits for sparying and under sealing the back of the car





Went and got a couple more things


Little trip down to the scrap yard as mine is broken on the corners


Got the ecu tray and battery tray in to the rust remover and i also made it a bit stronger mix so it should get the rust of lol


Also got painting the rear and side pillars








Ran out of plastic primer so will do the front ones at a later date

Right took the ecu try and battery try out of the rust remover after 24 hours





Gave them a slight rub down to get the rest of then primed them



Then a few coats of gloss black



Also fitted a sparco fuel cap

Had to get the car ready for mot on monday had to do the following

2 new drive shafts as the inner gaters have gone

1 new rear ABS sensor

n/s top mount and bearing

Took the spare wheel cage of and painted it in red oxide



Got a red forge heater noab



Plans over the next couple of weak

Paint the spare wheel cage black

under seal the back of car

Trip to im Axles

All passed MOT :y:

I now have knocking coming from the front end so i have replaced

Both bottom arms

Both drop links

o/s top mount and bearing

Took it out for a test drive and it still knocks but not as bad :wall:

So done some reserch and took all the front end of agine and took the spax psx dampers out of the legs and thay are F**ked just after 600 miles :wall::wall:


got a KONI street kit coming and getting money back for my spax

Will get pics up soon

Big update
 
first of all been quite busy not had much time to spend on the car but done a few things the spax kit has came of and koni kit on







Took the spax kit back and got my money back so it now lowered 35mm not 40mm

Next was a refurb Oilite Bush Axle from im axle so i took a trip 2 hour trip there the other saterday morning

New one got built




Got these before i went











Next up i cleaned the boot floor up ready for under sealing
