i.e. every song they ever wrote.

Makes me sick to the stomach to think musics gone from the dizzying heights of that era to fucking Diplo and other bullshit.

ahhhhhh

cliff was good but is now very, very overrated!

when you're a new bassist and listen to metallica, he is god. back when i played everyday i looked up to some rather obscure bassists. haven't played my bass properly in ages, though.

as for PF, grew up listening to them. goddamn awesome

its still around, just not as prevalent. pop makes money, remember.

i mean, look at mars volta. thats some fucked up shit!

harrytool 6th February 2011 10:11

good to see some of the younger generation have the sense, to ditch the rap and crap, and listen to real instruments, being played by real musicians, singing about something more interesting than an umbrela or other meaningless repedative chanting!

Manu 6th February 2011 10:32

+1

Dad loves Dark side of the moon. Its a bit depressing but still good.

harrytool 6th February 2011 11:08

dark side of the moon definitely the best one to listen to if you are going to listen to pink floyd for the first time!

Liam_ 6th February 2011 12:22

Dark Side of the Moon, Animals and Wish You Were Here are my favourites. :)

Aly 6th February 2011 12:23

You raise the blade,
You make the change,
You rearrange me till I'm sane,

You lock the door and throw away the key.
But there's something in my head,
But it's not me.

Amazing lyrics, I didn't even search them I know them so well.

stroutsy 6th February 2011 12:24

listen to marooned :) best song to listen to while driving home tired. not

steve27 6th February 2011 12:30

massive fan, im 20 - cant see what age has to do with anything tho?
comfortably numb actually gives me goosebumps lol

harrytool 6th February 2011 12:38

being young has nothing to do with not liking it tbh
I just think the music since 90's up till today has poisoned the youth of today! simply because they have no knowledge other than what shit they get drummed into them on the radio on a daily basis,

Jaytee 6th February 2011 12:40

Iv grown up listening to the likes of pink floyd, david bowie and genesis. Absoloutly love them. My parenys are probs the reason i have duch a diverse taste in music.

Not my mum she has terrible taste in music.

But my dad has a wide music taste, quite embarassing at times. :S

loudandproud205 6th February 2011 17:06

I blame my Dad to, from such gods as Pink Floyd to Dire straights to Madness and Pet Shop Boys
