Polar White MK2 VTS. End of page 5, new owner killed it :(

Bought for the bargain price of £700.

Needed a clutch and an o/s driveshaft, thank fully I had a Valeo clutch lying around and ordered a new driveshaft got it up and running and I love it!

Its got some niggles that need sorting out but are easy enough.

Been told its been cammed aswell however no proof of this or what cams it has in it, a trip to the RR will be in order.
blah blah blah 80,000miles, 16" TD 1.2's, lowered 60mm, smoked headlights, smooth boot, pooflow exhaust, pro-tech 4-2-1 manifold, gti half leather interior blah blah.

Anyway the pics:

Plans for the future ARE:

1. Sort out electrical niggles.
2. Full service, stop oil leaks.
3. ICE install
4. Trip to RR
5. New air filter
6. New exhaust, Kam Racing Stainless system probably, or Piper 3" backbox.
7. New gearknob
8. Move GTi-6 brakes from boot onto struts.

Hope you like :afro:

very nice, lovely colour, would love a white vts but so rare to find one, even then they all ragged, so a icelandic grey one will have to do :)

yeah it needs a new plate tbh, picking up a new bumper tomorrow as the exhaust has eaten this one, cant be bothered doing the whole 106 recess so gonna stick one on somewhere with a pair of LED bolts that iv got instead of the awful moulding thats bolted on here

Saxotim 24th March 2011 22:37

Spent a good 3 hours cleaning the car today as it was stupeendously dirty. Wash, a going over with AG Super Resin Polish, a sprinkling of olive oil and she is super duper clean again.

Plans for this weekend are to fit 90A alternator, fit standard gear knob, get a heated rear window switch, parcel shelf and any other random bits that are in the scrappys, hopefully find some 13cm door speakers till i can afford the focals up there^

pedo bear has found his way into my boot too, unsure how this has happened the little scamp.

some porn:

oh herro

not so distant future plans:
new rear numberplate
fiddle exhaust
fit new rear bumper

JRC1 24th March 2011 22:42

Looks nice pal. Not a fan of the tailgate without the number plate etc but each to their own. Best colour ;)

Saxotim 24th March 2011 23:04

cheers man! my second in this colour ;)

im still in 2 minds about the bootlid. gonna change the plate first cos that really isnt helping.

this looks better imo

Saxotim 9th April 2011 23:44

Exhaust Swap.

suppp.

bought a piper system off jonathon5 for a nice price and fitted it yesterday and it sounds awesome.

step 1, rip off old powerflow piece of shite and compare to piper

step 2, examine old exhaust for signs of good workmanship:

none found.

step 3, fit piper system:

great success! 3.5" inward rolled backbox, 2" pipework all the way back to manifold, car is now decatted and sounding larvely.

vv:listen to it:vv

Ignore the smoke, coming off the exhaust paste.

jonathon5 10th April 2011 17:06

That powerflow looked shocking

Saxotim 10th April 2011 17:09

Really was, chopped up with angle grinder and binned it, only place worthy of its presence tbh

gaz4399 10th April 2011 17:10

white is the best colour imo

New plates have been ordered too, getting my spare bumper sprayed up at some point too and fit that.

Comments/Criticism :afro:

Saxotim 10th May 2011 20:57

Tuesday Mods,

Had my Focals in a couple of weeks now and love them.

New plates arrived today from Craigs Plates so got on with sticking them on, also painted one of my spare sets of chevs satin black.

Interesting bits:
Front off

Front On

Back before

Back After

Getting my spare bumper sprayed up soon to replace the current knackered one, also found out that my LED bolts for rear plate lighting are terribly made and the solder has cracked so im re-wiring them at college on thursday and slap them on after college.

Time for a brew.

Saxotim 10th May 2011 20:57

double post fail

Saxotim 12th May 2011 18:02

Had a bad day. :n:

Decat made a bid for freedom this morning, flange has snapped off at the mani end when i was doing 70odd on a back road, lots of sparks and lots of noise. got the AA out to get me on my way but he took his sweet fucking time.

gonna take it off tomorrow and get it welded at me dads then fire an email off to Piper with some pics.

It sounds horrendous. :(

UPDATE TIME

Right so since last time I have replaced the rear brake pads, discs and n/s caliper since it was seized solid. Lovely brakes now.

Gave it a clean and spent £200 on audio stuff which should be here tomorrow! yay!

Aaaaand i bought a sub. JBL GT4-10:

Saxotim 7th July 2011 18:10

Shitty cunty wanky bastard cunts, anyone spot whats missing in this photo?

Car got broke into friday night and my lovely pioneer has been robbed :(

Ohwell onwards and upwards, gonna get a Toad Ai606 fitted by MR_TOAD when I get paid along with a new HU (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer-deh9300sd.html) :afro:

And iv gathered many ebay bargains the past couple of weeks for my audio.

0 gauge dual amp wiring kit and jbl 752

jbl 7001 mono amp

fitting all my wires tomorrow and making an MDF floor for the boot, not screwing the amps in yet untill i get a new HU.

Also I'll be at Brid Cruise this Sat night, if you see me come say hiiiigh

Saxotim 17th July 2011 12:41

Friday I decided to lay out my sub and amps to see how it would look

25mm mdf floor

Amps and sub and dizzy blocks positioned roughly

Then decided to wire it all in lol

Sliced my finger open

3 and a half hours later we have completion.

And the 6x9s have been binned and custom cardboard inserts sprayed and glued were used to cover the holes.

New HU next week, running wires into doors next week too.... bosh. bye bye
