then i remembered a friend of mine is selling some blue alhambra recaro's from an audi s2!
so i thought with...

a stripped out back and...

WIN! any opinions?

there coming out of my mates old mk2 and i think im just gonna have to strip down some old saxo seat rails to get them to fit!

Well you can look about on ebay for a set of sparco ones which are like 60 quid but you can get cheap budget ones for like 30 a pair!

Depends how much you wanna spend :y:

I think, some gti leathers or the blue ones. Get scratch done etc.

Cam covers yellow or blue etc. Some nice hoses and its mint.

(THEN THROTTLE BODIES)

My neighbour was like just go for it and so i did!

I think tbh you have hit the nail on the head mate!
Not to worried about cams ect as she's plenty quick enough for me :y:

i think throttle bodies would be so mean but all in time XD

once I've got her looking perfect then I'll start one the engine and turn her into a road going pocket rocket!

I want her to beat your 225! But didn't seem to keep up too bad on the slip road onto the motorway ;-)

jimjam 17th March 2011 23:20

very nice dude, got a lovely gleem from the front end! Shiny FTW

dunno 18th March 2011 19:29

cheers for all the comments!

so i picked up my new seats (recaros out of an audi s2) today for the car and there is gonna need to be some fidling around with the brackets but i'll get them in!
also one of the seats has a burn mark where some yobo tried to set them on fire whilst they where in my mates old mk2 :n: but for the price i wasnt gonna say no!

im not gonna be stripping out the back and getting the harnesses in as i also managed to get the rear bench and seats :y:

ive got a photo of what the drivers side seat looks like but there in my bedroom atm so you will have to bare with me!

excuse the shite photograph but i took them on my phone with only my room light on so they aint the best!

i just think with a good clean and with that other seat restitching they would be mint!

i think just to top it off i would need some 106 GTI leather door cards :D

UKtom 18th March 2011 23:44

looks good! will the rear bench fit? i thought it'd be too wide haha! will be good to see it when its fitted too matt! :panic:

Well i took the rear bench base and it will fit but Im gonna need to take out the back pockets to the rear door cards which shouldn't be too hard ha

as for the fronts Im gonna take out the runners from a couple of front seats from a saxo up the scrappy then just get then welded on! And hey presto full set of recaros which will look amazing :-D

one of the seats needs to be reupholstered but ill get that done when i get the time, I'll probably drive about without a passengers seat till its done ha!

LOL sounds good! i need a new rocker cover so if you see one at silverlake get me it, ill pay you back! :y: having no passenger seat should save you a bit of weight (and fuel) ;) think you should get a show cage instead of the rear bench though

beermonstah 19th March 2011 08:54

i'll have a look but i dunno when im next gonna go up silverlake mate :n: tbh i dont think i'd bother with a cage unless im gonna track slag the car as i think a show cage will just add un needed weight and all be it will look smart i wanna spend my money getting the car mint :y:

wheels, scratch, reupholster that seat then i think by then my car will need a good service and then i'll decide what to do next :y: but im thinking cam's, throttle bodies then remap ^.^

well i have some good news...the sub is gone! As have the rear seats and carpets :y:

gonna go down a slightly different route now from the other seats as i couldn't justify putting such heavy beasts in a car which is meant to be light.

dunno 30th March 2011 20:17

Small Update

Decided to scrap the audi recaros and im gonna go put my car on a bit of a diet :y:

So Far

- Stripped out the rear seats
- Taken out the sub

Its not a lot but its a start ;)

To Do

- Front buckets
- Driver and passenger side 3 point harness (in lellow)
- Sort out scratch
- Get the alloys touched up
- Catcam 708's
- Re-map

I was thinking about getting some itb's but its just money I dont think I could justify spending when I'm gonna buy something with a bit more ooomph when insurance isnt stupidly high!

Watch this space :afro:

Things To Do Next

- Get the rear seats back in
- Have a good polish
- Get back on the road
- Have some fun :y:

Update

So I got a bit bored sat around doing nothing and decided to see how easy it is to dewiper a saxo.

It looked easy in some of the guides so I decided to give it a go myself and I got very impatient with the rear nut :wall: so out came the hacksaw :panic:

I think it looks load better and just makes the back end look that bit let busy :y:

I've also stripped out the back and removed the sound proofing and now it sounds so good inside the car :panic:

I've put the carpet back in but I've managed to loose 3 of the little rubber things which hold the carpet down over the soundproofing so a little trip up the scrapyard maybe on the agenda soon :y:

I might also have a look at getting a show cage because tbh the back with no seats just seems a bit empty...
having buckets and harness's doesnt bother me as I think the standard seats arent too bad.

Krys_23 28th April 2011 16:59

Loving the procomp, i want.

dunno 4th May 2011 20:23

Small update;

Got my stickerbomb book come through so decided to give it a go!

I know the ones covering my scratch don't look the best but its better than nothing and is only a temp fix :D

Next up...show cage :y:

dunno 8th May 2011 13:18

Update:

I finally got around to sticking my stickerbombed bits onto my car and took some quick photos.

The photos are pretty cack but Im sure you'll get the jist.

I also wanna thank tom "UKtom" for showing his lovely face whilst I was stickerbombing :y:

Davyy 8th May 2011 18:46

I got them dirt cheap off of a mate but i decided not to fit them in the end as there bloody heavy and i wanted to strip my car :y:

a full set on ebay, providing you can find them is 350-500 quid depending on the nick.
To be honest i wouldn't bother in getting some for a saxo as the rear bench would be a pig to fit and you might aswell get some 106 Gti leathers for like half the price.

tomsmarty 8th May 2011 19:34

Love it mate, all the black looks really good :y: Actually like the mirror caps aswell
