Black Mk2 VTS Progress - Gone euro/clean - Trax'13 Pics Update 27/12
 

Right then, after 4ish years of having the red 1.1 flat arch i decided to upgrade to something with a bit more power.
Ive had her for about a month now, 2001 Y plate with only 61K on the clock which i thought was pretty good considering the age. Picked her up for £1500.
Came white s rims and the front end had been lowered 50mm on apex kit with also apex shocks. Also a custom powerflow backbox with decat pipe.
So the first thing i did was lower her at the rear 50mm, Shout out to KrisB for that, did a great job!




Not the best pics but theyre only taken on my iphone3.
Now there were a few minor problems that need to be sorted. One side says vtr but the previous owner painted the R yellow lol and the side with VTS on has a cracked bumper strip so i got 2 new door panel vt kit parts but they were posi blue! So ive started to spray them up citroen black and also the side bumper strips too.

Also bought some dice dust caps lol (wheels could do with a respray i know! lol) got 2 black die and 2 white die


So the plans are: (To be done before FCS)
- Finish spraying up
- Mesh grill
- Green panel filter + service
- Kam racing backbox
- Supersprint centre section
- Mega good going over and clean ready for FCS

Thats about it for now!
Eventually il go for a subtle/euro look but need to get it up together first :)

looks SO similar to mine! it will especially with that new backbox! looks good though mate, nice upgrade from the 1.1!

haha you got kam racing backbox too? mate i may need a hand this/next week spraying if your mate is available or if you are too, cos i need one more coat of black on both vt kit door panels and i dnt wanna get dust on them etc while spraying in my garage so i kinda need a better spraying environment.

mate my car was sprayed in a mechanics garage, and there were TINY imperfections..you'll be fine :homme: but yeh man ill help you out, give me a ring when you need it spraying and ill come round and spray it for you and make sure its properly prepped!

Update: Gloss black spraying and pictures from meets
Right, after fitting panel filter, supersprint race pipe and kam racing backbox, i decided to move onto visual mods for now.
- I sprayed my rear bumper gloss black in my mates garage - went alright, except for one area where i sprayed too much lacquer :( but hopefully it can be sorted.





I also did the side bumper strips citroen black too - still need a new trim on drivers side because it has cracked :( and new vts badges
These aren't the best pictures but they should be able to show how they look.

So now plans are:
- Remove the rest of the masking crap left over on the rear bumper
- Get a new front bumper as theres a big crack :( - wide mouth it and gloss black the bumper strip
- Cams and remap
- Possibly respray wheels white or black
- Deep Dish Euro wheels
- Upper Strut brace
- Pressed plates
- Possibly lower suspension more on coilovers

Also having a play with the air intake at the moment so will update soon!

Took off the resinator box then removed the other pipe work, was a right bitch to remove!
Plan is to have a cold air feed pipe from the original scoop pipe bit up to the air box with the green panel filter in.

but im thinking of getting them powder coated black as i got quoted £30 a wheel which i dont think is too bad. If i do get them sprayed black then id probably paint the brake calipers yellow too as i like that idea and then also spray the chevrons yellow too. What do you guys think?

- Pressed plates
- Cams, remap
- Deep dished wheels

Update Sprayed chevrons and mesh black a while ago now but not uploaded any pics yet! I think it looks a lot better now. Also now lowered 60mm all around thanks to KrisB last week. Going up to see him tomorrow to get these fitted:

After a squeaky noise doing my head in for weeks and weeks and after the wheels being off the other day, KrisB pointed out just how shagged the break pads are so I decided to get some brembo discs and mintex m1144 pads :)

Will get some pics of how its sitting now once ive given it a good wash!

Also expecting a supersprint 421 mani soon from kam racing :)

Hopefully get the wheels powdercoated within the next month or too, also some spacers.

Got these new aero twin bosch flat wipers as the old wipers are a bit dated tbh.

Also gave the car a quick wash today and borrowed my dads camera and took a few pics - also a few on my phone.
