my xsi. UPDATED
 

right so i sold my saxo on monday with the sadness to see it go :(

last night i picked up my new car so im happy happy happy now :)

its a completely unmolested 1995 106 xsi 1.6 and its a fresh piece of slate for a good project.

it has 162k on the clocks but has had the head rebuilt and drives very smooth and pulls well.

neways heres a few piccys, let me no what you guys/girls think......

Body work looks in cracking condition considering the mileage its done.

no really tho it is pretty mint like you said for the mileage and the age. it does scratches and a few dents but nothing too bad that cant be sorted.. the front bumper and bonnet are covered in stone chips tho

saxo dash as i find the 106 dash abit wrong

really how i want the car is to be a vts underneath a s1 xsi shell.

i no they are getting rare nowadays and changing everything will ruin a future classic, but the car will be to me more disirable.

right i got a few parts in the last couple of days and thought id fit them today with tom (pog_pug) we started off with the morretts



my drivers side fog was shot so i changed that along with my drivers side indicator which had clouded up



fitted some heko wind deflectors



then got onto spraying an s2 petrol cap as i couldnt find anyone breaking a diablo red gti.




also a pic now its dewipered



imo i much prefer it with the morretts it kind of put more of a stance on the car

took abit of un-needed weight off by removing the spare wheel and the cage :)

compare it to my mates xsi, its a different shape and the xsi bumper is deeper, and your rear bumper doesnt match up with the xsi bump strips

@ jeffchiz - I think shaneio may have a xsi rear now not 100 percent sure though mate.

Also shane i know you will probally see the PM but if you dont yeah im trying to get loaned so i can get them from yah :)

only updates are the car is in bit lol, no engine, interior, dash or loom it's just a rolling shell at the mo. ain't got no time to do much now as I've started a new job.

the engine should be coming out the vts I have tomorrow so I can get the wiring loom out and into the xsi. I also come accross a little rust hole that needs to be welded up on the xsi.

have collected a few parts

brand new g-max front n rear shocks and springs for £60
a raceland 4-2-1 mani
Saxo struts with 60mm springs and saxo drive shafts

got nearly everything there it's just having the time to do it :( will get some photos when I get a chance.

Ill do it all shane ;) and do you still have the rad and the twin fan setup for the blue one?

it is, as jeffchiz said i noticed after i bought it and he pointed it out to me but the xsi bumper has been sauced and all i got to do now is pick it up from the srayers.

thanks mate, hopefully it will all come together in good time. kind of didnt realize till i stripped the xsi of what id done lol but ive gone to far to turn around.

im glad you pointed that out :y: the xsi will be on soon aswell as the s2 petrol cap and original mirrors :panic: .

my freshly sprayed xsi bumper, mirror caps and s2 petrol cap, was going to fit them today but the weather aint all that good so pending weather ill get them on on sunday :)

i always tried to get my mate to fit colour coded mirror caps and a s2 fuel cap but he refused lol he like the black mirrors and the old style cap...i didnt lol

hmmm ill keep you in mind if i sell lol
