Matts Posi Saxo VTS

Been over 2 months since I've bought this but I may as well make a thread for my car. All I am looking for is comments and ideas. etc
Inb4 VTS wheels and lowering.

Anyway, bought the car off a member on here- This is how it looked when I first purchased it:

First thing I decided to do was change the wheels. had a set of black VTR alloys from my old furio which I decided to put on. Also put my Dimma grill and aero window wiper blades on- from the furio too. (Decided to keep a few mods to save me buying them later on).

Dewipered it too, but don't need a picture because I'm sure you know what that looks like...

A mate of mine decided to put yellow tape on our cars when we went to pugfest, after putting in some new bulbs into my fogs, this was how they looked.

Following the lighting route I put on some £9 LEDS.

I got some window tints as well from a member off here, as well as VTS alloys from another.

This is how my car currently stands.

Getting lowered soon, I have front and rear shocks as well as Lowering springs.

Defo needs lowering, and i'd say a darker colour on the wheels.

Simon0014 3rd October 2011 17:31

tommysaxo23 3rd October 2011 17:39

At the moment now I have a cold air feed. Don't diss the string I haven't got round to connecting it properly yet. Probably have some bracket set up for it or re-route it!

Oh and I've had the car lowered both front and back now.. 35mm claimed drop on the front. Yet a 45mm+ drop on the back. bear in mind that the boot is completely empty...

My next plans will be to clean up the engine bay and hide a lot of random wires I got going on- and possibly a quickshift.

piranhamatt 3rd April 2012 23:29

Here's the car at the moment

Has a 4-2-1 sportex manifold, decat pipe and a sportex backbox.
Engine bay wiring has been tidied up a bit
Strut brace (needs adjusting..!)

Feedback please

Dano 20th June 2012 15:40

Nice to meet you buddy

hope you like the new seats ;) they were fun for me! just get used to passangers whinging, haha

Get some pics up when you fit em :D

Stefan_Wood 20th June 2012 15:47

What neon do you have on.
Want some for my posi

Rave-nhill 20th June 2012 16:27

Looking good so far, need to tidy up my bay it's bare filth atm

piranhamatt 21st June 2012 18:27

Travelled to West Wales the other day to collect some bucket seats from Dano_Vt, much prefer them over the standard seats. Just feel nicer, and hold you in well, recomend them! (I have to rely on wing mirrors though when reversing now, rather than looking over my shoulder!)
Also fitted in the rear seats, going to be a tight squeeze for anyone back there hah

Also TRS Tow strap in yellow.

I went through some mud

The neons were these

Had them spliced into the wires behind cig lighter, then used a switch next to the hazards.
Then ran them through wheelarch then cabletied under car

Stefan_Wood 21st June 2012 19:19

Very nice did you just run the 2x strips down the side or did you do by the bumper aswell

piranhamatt 21st June 2012 20:04

Only underneath the sideskirts, they have a stickyback which stuck well to them (clean the area first!)
But i cabletied different sections just to be safe.

The wiring is quite thin though so have to be careful with it

Dano 21st June 2012 22:29

Ive only ever sat in a few buckets (think 3 styles in total) and these were deffinatly the comfiest of them, guess its because they are recliners, bit more room in the edges

I do miss the support in them, but its nice to take the misses out and not have her moan about em :y: lol

Shocking how bad vtr seats are! I dunno if its because im used to the buckets, or just forgot they were so bad before buckets? who knows.. heh :homme:

Ill keep an eye on the progress :D

are you staying with the R wheels? or do you have plans for changing them?

piranhamatt 21st June 2012 23:38

Well I would go back to vts ones but I smashed a chunk out of one in the snow so I'm looking around for one, I like to stay with black wheels. To keep that blue surround on

Stefan_Wood 21st June 2012 23:41

Black and blue is used so much, didnt stop me doing it on my posi tho, have a look through my thread. Also my rims maybe for sale (Black Oz SuperT's )

piranhamatt 27th May 2013 01:29

Okay well I've decided to post an update now. Well just a picture dump from Facebook images

Smoked headlights, cheers Simon!
^ THIS IS IT RIGHT NOW.

Decided to fit decat after insurance renewal (declared!)

Entry to japfest

Parked with other blue french cars - The other VTS used to belong to a member on here

Brap brap siiick.

Yeah so at the moment it's

Wind deflectors
bucket seats
lowered
alloys
air filter
strut brace
decat and aftermarket exhaust
tints
Smoked lights
dewiper
dimma grill
pointless tow strap
aerial blank
etcc

Probably needs a wash.. I don't think I've given it one this year :S
Looking for comments

I will put some up to date photos on here one of these days..

Prickle 27th May 2013 01:36

Ay, so where do i start :detective:

piranhamatt 3rd August 2013 22:05

So I bought a set of uniroyal rainsport 2 tyres and fitted them to my spare set of VTS alloys which I spray painted myself.

Not the best job but hey I was bored, handles a hell of a lot better than my previous budgets.

Work a lot better with my 266mm brakes too, stops rather well- makes standard brakes seem so crap!

Went to FCS2013

Here's a single picture

Managed to crunch some exhaust mount so I'll get round to looking at it soon
